A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FOR
PAYING EMPLOYER PAID MEMBER CONTRIBUTIONS
WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Redlands has the authority to
implement Government Code Section 20636(c) (4) pursuant to Section 20691; and
WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Redlands has a written labor policy
or agreement which specifically provides for the normal member contributions to be paid by
the employer; and
WHEREAS, one of the steps in the procedures to implement Section 20691 is the
adoption by the City Council of the City of Redlands of a resolution to coimneance paying
said Employer Paid Member Contributions (EPMC); and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands has identified the following
conditions for the purpose of its election to pay EPMC:
This benefit shall apply to "classic" members of PERS as defined by Ca1PERS
hired prior to March 11, 2010, of the Redlands Association of Department
Directors (RADD), Redlands Association of Management Employees (RAMS),
Redlands Association of Mid-Management Employees (RAMME), and General
Employees Association of Redlands (GEAR).
- Effective the first payroll period commencing on or after September-3, 2013,
the benefit shall consist of paying four percent (4%) of non-nal contributions
for RAMS, RAMME, and GEAR members as EPMC.
Effective the first payroll period commencing on or after July 1, 2014, the
benefit shall consist of paying two percent (2%) of normal contributions for
RAME, RAMME, and GEAR members as EPMC.
- Effective the first payroll commencing on or after January 1, 2015, the benefit
shall consist of paying zero percent (0%) of non-nal contributions for RAME,
RAMME, and GEAR members as EPMC.
- Effective the first payroll period commencing on or after April 15, 2014, the
benefit shall consist of paying six percent (6%) of normal contributions for safety
members and four percent (4%) for miscellaneous R ADD members as EPMC.
Effective the first payroll period commencing on or after July 1, 2014, the benefit
shall consist of paying four percent (4%) of normal contributions for safety
members and two percent (2%) for miscellaneous R A D D members as EPMC.

Effective the first payroll commencing on or after January 1, 20151, the benefit
shall consist of paying zero, percent (0%) of tionnal contributions for
miscellaneous and safety RADD members as EPM.C.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Redlands elects to pay EPMC, as set forth above.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of this resolution shall be
ADOPTED, SIGNED, AND APPROVED this 6`h day of September, 2016.
