AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING TITLE 18 OF THE
REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADOPTING A REVISED LAND USE ZONING
MAP (ZONE CHANGE NO. 455)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, in accordance with Goveriunent Code section 65855, the Planning
Commission of the City of Redlands has reviewed proposed Zone Change No. 455 (the
"Zone Change") to change the zoning designation of approximately 0.35 acres of a split-
zoned parcel from R-S (Suburban Residential) District to C-1 (Neighborhood Stores)
District located at the southeast conger of Lakeside Avenue and Brookside Avenue.; and
WHEREAS, on July 12, 2016, the Planning Commission held a noticed public
hearing on the Zone Change and considered verbal and written testimony of City staff,
the applicant for the proposed Zone Change, and testimony from members of the public;
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended to the City Council that
the Zone Change be approved; and
WHEREAS on August 25, 2016, notice of this City Council's public hearing for
the Zone Change was published in the Redlands Daily Facts by the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, on September 6, 2016, the City Council held a public hearing and
considered the staff written and oral reports, the recommendation of the Pla>uiing
Commission, the testimony and written evidence submitted by and on behalf of the
applicant, and testimony by members of the public; and
WHEREAS, following the public hearing on the Zone Change, at which this City
Council provided opportunity for public testimony, the City Council detennined that
adoption of the Zone Change is in the best interests of the public health, safety and
general welfare;
Section 1. The zoning designation for approximately 0.35 acres of a split-zoned
parcel, located at the southeast corner of Lakeside Avenue and Brookside Avenue, is
hereby changed from the R-S (Suburban Residential) District to C-1 (Neighborhood
Stores) District on the City's Land Use Zoning Map as more particularly shown on the
map attached hereto as Exhibit "A."

Section 2. The Mayor shall sign this ordinance and the City Clerk shall certify to
the adoption of this ordinance and shall cause it, or a summary of it, to be published once
in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation within the City, and
thereafter, this ordinance shall take effect in accordance with law.
