HomeMy WebLinkAboutContracts & Agreements_181-2016 SIDE LETTER To CURRENT MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDLANDS ANDTHE REDLANDS ASSOCIATION OF SAFETY MANAGEMENT, EMPLOYEES (RASME) Holiday Pay Cash Out Article 13 of the current agreement between the City of Redlands and the Redlands Association of Safety Management Employees (RASME) allows for holidays not taken to be "banked" and paid off during January of each year. Per CCR Section 571(a) a written policy must exist which indicates the conditions of this type of special payment. Article 13 shall be amended to include,the following (added language in italics): Association members may opt to "bank" these holidays at the rate of ten (10) hours per each holiday and be paid for them! in January of the following, year. Holidays shall be, paid at the rote of pay app,licable to the shift to which the employee is regularly assigned and shall include supplemental pay(POST certification pay) which may apply to the specific officer. The City will report to CaIPERS the Holiday Cash Out amounts. This amount is derivedfrom an employee's left over Holiday Cash Out amount and paid at regular rate, which includes base payrate and POST Certification pay. The City will report the,Holiday Cash Out on annual basis to CalPERS in January of each year.
