AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENTomade and entered into this 13
day of , , IJJL, by and between the STATE PERSONNEL
BOARD, rough it my appointed, qualified, and acting Executive
Officer, party of the first part, hereinafter called the 3oard, and
the City of Redlands
, party of
the second part, hereinafter called the City
Vn TNESSE[TH, That the parties, for and in consideration of the
covenants, conditions, agreements, and stipulations hereinafter
exprossed, hereby agree as follows:
1w In consideration of the payment by the City to
the Board of the sum hereinafter prescribed in Schedule A, the
Board does hereby agree to perform those technical personnel
services hereinafter set forth, pursuLant to the authority con-
ferred upon such City and Board by the terms of Section
55, Chapter 753, Statutes of 1937.
2. The State Personnel Board shall
A. Prepare a classification plan covering
employees of the Citv .
B, Prepare a compensation plan for those
classes of positions recommended by the
Board.
In performing the services incident to the preparation of a
classification plan, the Board. shall:
(1) Make job analyses of the entire classified service of

the City mprepare appropriate class specifications, and
allocate all positions to their proper classificati 0d 1ZNNO'dJd 2I

( 2) Prepare such rules and regulations as may be necessary
to administer the classification plan,
(3) When requested, advise and assist the Council
of the Ci.t;v in technical matters of personnel admini-
stration.
In performing the services incident to the preparation of a
compensation plan for the classified service of the City
the Board shall:
(1) Prepare salary ranges for all classes of positions in the
Citv service.
(2) Perform all necessary technical work in connection with
the above function.
(3) Prepare rules and regulations necessary for the administra-
tion of the compensation plan in the .. City
Schedule A
In consideration of the performance of the above functions by
the Board, the city agrees to pay to the Boardo
(1) The salary of any technical or clerical employee of the
Board while actually engaged in the above-mentioned work for the
City
(2) The actual traveling expenses of such employees between
Sacramento and the Citv in accordance with the rules and
regulations of the Board of Control of the State of California
concerning such expenses.
(3) The living expenses for such employees while engaged

in the above--mentioned activities away from Sacramento, in accord.-

concerning such expenses.
In addition, the City agrees to cooperate fully
and to furnish such clerical help and materials as may be
necessary to the proper performance of the above-mentioned
services.
The Board shall, from time to time, submit invoices covering
services rendered, and the City agrees to pay such
invoices within sixty (60) days following receipt thereof. This
agreement may be terminated by either party hereto upon thirty (30)
days written notice prior to the date of termination. Nothwith-
standing anything contained herein to the contrary, this agree-
ment may be terminated and the provisions of this agreement may
be changed, altered, or amended by mutual consent of the parties
hereto.
