RULES AYD REGULATIONS TO GOVERN THE OPERATIC-14

day of August$ 1.956, hereby adapts the following rules and regulatians. to govern
operation to the Fi1101de Cemetery and the sale of propertiesfor the purpose of

SALE OF LOTS

3. The sale, transfer, or assignment of a burn 1 lot in the Cemetery
cannot be made after the natural interment has taken place therein, unless and in
accordance ri.th all existing laws, all bodies have been removed therefrom.

6. All vaults to be constructed, monuments to be erected, markers to b

21. The Superintendent shall be charged with the responsibility of en-
tering upon any and all lots or spaces and to remove therefrom any vbjecLionaole

17, The Superintendent is authorized to cause the interment of any des-

18, Twenty-four (24) hours notice must be given to the Superintendent
for any and all interments. upon receiving such notices, the Superintendent shall

therefor at the expense of the mortician or person submitting such notice, All
funerals must be held between the hqursof eight (8o00) aam, and three-thirty
(3:30) P.m. No funerals held on Suridays or holidays.
19d The presentation of necessary vouchers must first be presented
before any person is interred in the plot desi hated as the Veterans of American
Wars Plot,
20, Regulations and restrictions governing interment of veterans as
adopted the 15th day of 11--reh, 1955, shall be in effect,

21, All matters of controversy between the Cemetery Superintendent and
any party of the second part shall be referred to the City Manager,

any time make such additional rules and regulations or modify or amend these rules
and regul tions for the gaverrmcenti improvement and embeni.shment of the grounds of
said Cemetery as it may deem requisite and proper to secure and promote the general
interests of the Cemetery,

RED'IANDS HILT.SZ)E CENETILRY SET ASIDE FOR VETERANS:
Lo Burial in the Redlands Hillside Veterans' Plots is authorized for the
following:
a. Any member or former member of the armed forces of the United States
whose last service terminated honorably by death or otherwise.
bo Any citizen of the United States who, Wring any war in which the
United States has been or may hereafter be engaged, served in the armed
forces of any government allied with the United Staves during such war,
and whose last service terminated honorably, by death or otherwise.
2. Authorized representatives of the deceased must furnish proof of his
service connections by presenting honorable discharge or other positive proof if
discharge as not available.
3, No veteran allowed to bo buried in this plot unless satisfactory
financial arrangements for opening of grave, cement box and headstone is made with
the Cemetery Superintendent, Selection of grave space will be made under the super-
vision of Superiztendento
W All headstones to be uniform and in conformity with that of D. Ab
ilcFain, with name, dates of birth and death, and service connection,

6. Qualified persons may purchase graves for future use or extra graves

7. If any deviation of the above regulations is requested, the Board of
five members of Veterans' organization to be consulted, first.
8. Other persons eligible:

cretion of the Cemetery Sgperinterndent, the unmarried adult child of any
of the persons enumerated in subparagraphs 1 and 2 above.

vorced wife or husband of a serviceman or woman is not eligible
for burial idth such serviceman or v oman in the Redlands Veterans°
Plots.
(b) The burial. of a parent of an eligible vetaran with his scan or
daughter in the Redlands Veterans' Plot is authorized for ash burials
of cremated remains only.
9. (a,) Double interment may be made in a standard single space (41 x 141)
providing the first body shah, bo buried at a, depth of 7' 6" in a vault. The second
burial may be made in the conventional manner. In the event an interment has already
bean mode in a standard depth grave, and at a Dater date it is determined that the
owner desires a double burial in this same grove, this can be accomplished if the
first burial uas made in a vault and for an additional charge said vault may be
lowered to the required depth for double burial. Tire interment of more than one
Lody in a single grave or crypt shall not be perm?-tted except in case of mother and
infant, where interred together,
(b) Only one monument or t rker may be placed upon any single grave or
crypta Ashes heaving separate markers must have separate spaces or crypts. Each ash

be replaced or modified to record additional burials, but additional markers may not
be placed.
