Gentlemen:
Attached is a fully executed copy for the
City' s files of the supplemental freeway agreement
for State Highway Route 26 in the City of Redlands
between Fern Avenue and the east city limit of
Redlands . This is the agreement which was
approved by you in your Resolution No . 738.
Thank you for your cooperation in the freeway
planning for US 70 and 99.

SUPPLEMENTAL FREEWAY AGREEMENT

4 This Agreement made and entered into, in duplicate, this
6 -2nd- day of June , 19__23 by and between the State of
6 California, acting by and through the Department of Public
7 Works, Division of Highways, hereinafter for convenience referred
8 to as "State", and the City of Redlands, hereinafter for
9 convenience referred to as "City", witnesseth:
10 WHEREAS, State and City have heretofore entered into a
11 Freeway Agreement dated April 15, 1942, relating to that
12 certain portion of State Highway Route 26 in the City of
13 Redlands, between the north lire of Fern ,ivenue at Engineer' s
14 Station 472+40 and Engineer' s Station 543+00; and

WHE '{' S, the plan of construction, as shown on Exhibit 'rAu
18 attached to said agreement, has been altered in certain respects
17 since the date of execution of said agreement and has been
18 extended to include the portion. of State Highway Route 26 between
19 Engineer's Station 543+00 and the east city limit of the City
20 of Redlands; and
21 WHEREAS, a new plan map has been prepared showing the
22 altered plan of construction;
23 NOW, THEREFORE IT IS AGREED:
24 1 , That the limits of said Freeway Agreement dated
25 April. 15, 1942 are extended to include that portion of
26 State Highway Route 26 between Engineer's Station 513+00 and
27 the east city limit of the City of Redlands;
28 2. That the plan map attached hereto, marked Revised
29 Exhibit "A", shall be substituted for Exhibit STA" attached to
30 the Freeway Agreement dated April 15, 1912, and become a part
31 of said agreement for all purposes;

1 3. That except for the extension of limits as provided
2 herein and the substitution of the revised plan map, said
3 Freeway Agreement dated April 15, 1942 shall remain in full
4 force and effect$ unmodified j any provision of this Agreement .
6 IN WITNESS; WHEREOF the parties hereto have set their
6 hands and seals the day above first written.

RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands, that
the within and foregoing SUPPLEMENTAL FRSEWAY AGREEMENT VIII-SBd-
Rld2 dated June 2nd, 1953 , oy and between the State of California.,
acting by and through the Department of Public Works, Division of
Highways, and the City of Redlands, supplemental to that certain
Freeway Agreement, dated hpril 13th, 1942, BE AND THE SAME IS
HEREBY APPROVED, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND OaDZR3D that the Hayor ana the City
Clerk of the City of Redlands, be and they are heveby authorized,
empowered and directed to execute said SUPPLEMENTAL FREEWAY
AGREEMENT VIII SBd-26-Rld on behalf of the said City of Redlands.
