HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_2850 ORDINANCE NO 2850 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING CHAPTERS 2 18 AND 2 38 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE CITY OF REDLANDS' AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD AND MUNICIPAL UTILITIES/PUBLIC WORKS COMMISSION THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS Section 1 Chapter 2 18 of the Redlands Municipal Code relating to the City's Airport Advisory Board is hereby amended by the addition of section 2 18 035, entitled "Forfeiture of Membership by Absence," to read as follows "Section 2 18 035 Forfeiture of Membership by Absence Any member of the Board who absents himself or herself from any three consecutive regular meetings of the Board, unless excused from such absence by consent of the Board expressed by action recorded in its minutes, shall there by automatically forfeit his or her position as a member of the Board immediately after adjournnnent of any such third consecutive meeting at which such member has not appeared The chairperson or secietary of the Board shall thereupon, within three (3) business days, notify in writing the City Council, and any such person so ceasing to be a member of the Board, of such fact, wheieupon the vacancy so created shall be filled by appointment pursuant to section 2 18 030 of this Chapter " Section 2 Chapter 2 38 of the Redlands Municipal Code relating to the City's Municipal Utilities/Public Works Coirunission is hereby amended by the addition of section 2 38 025, entitled "Forfeiture of Membership by Absence," to read as follows "Section 2 38 025 Forfeiture of Membership by Absence Any member ofthe Commission who absents himself or herself from any three consecutive regular meetings of the Commission, unless excused from such absence by consent of the Commission expressed by action recorded it its ininutes, shall there by automatically forfeit his or her position as a member of the Commission uninediately after adjournment of any such third consecutive meeting at winch such member has not appeared The chairperson or secretary of the Coininissioin shall thereupon, within three (3) business days, notify in writing the City Council, and any such person so ceasing to be a member of the Commission, of such fact, whereupon the vacancy so created shall be filled by appointment pursuant to section 2 38 010 of this Chapter " Section 3 The City Council hereby determines that the adoption of this ordinance is exempt from review under the Califorina Environinnental Quality Act ("CEQA") because, pursuant to section 15061(b)(3) of the State Guidelines implementing CEQA, it can be seen with certainty by this City Council that there is no possibility that the adoption of this ordinance will directly or indirectly have a significant effect on the environment Section 4 The Mayor shall sign this ordinance and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and shall cause it, or a summary of it, to be published once in the I!c crk\0rdmances\Nos 2800 2899 in Word12850 AAB&MUPW Commission mem6ership.docx Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation within the City, and thereafter, this ordinance shall take effect as provided by law e�'> 4b Q'—W� Paul W Foster, Mayor ATTEST J e Donaldson, City Clerk I 1cderk\Ordinances\Nos 2800-2899 in Wor&2850 AAS&.MUPW Commission membership.docx I, Jeanne Donaldson, City Clerk, City of Redlands, hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was duly adopted by the City Council at the regular meeting thereof, held on the 6th day of June 2017, by the following vote AYES Councilmembers Harrison, Gilbreath, Barich, Tejeda, Mayor Foster NOES None ABSENT None ABSTAIN None Je Donaldson, City Clerk I lcclerklordinanceslNos 2800-2899 in Wor&2850 AAS&MUPW Commission menbersbip.doex
