GRANT OF EASEMENT
'tENERAL ELECTRIC PENSION TRUST ( "Grantor") with offices at
570 Lexington Avenue, New York 22, New York, hereby grants to the
CITY OF ttEDLANDS, a Municipal corporation of the State of California f�

( "Grantee"), an EASEMENT for the right to construct, place, operate,
inspect, maintain, repair, replace and remove street improvements
and other pertinent public works facilities, over, under and across
the following described property in said City*
That certain parcel in the City of Redlands, County
of San Bernardino, State of California, described
as:
All that portion of Lot 6, Block E of Balcom's
Addition to the City of Redlands per map recorded
11 in Book 13, page 4 of Maps in the Office ofthe
Recorder of said County, described as follows :
Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Lot
6, thence North 0° 15' 55" West, 167 10 feet
(recorded 167.3 feet) to the Northeast corner of BOOKPAON
said Lot 6, thence South 890 54' 35" West, along � A. 4� �8

SHELL OIL COMPANY, a Delaware corporation ( "Shell") with offices
at 100 Bush Street, San Francisco, California 9+106, as Lessee of
Grantor's premises, consents to this Grant.
The Grantor does hereby grant, assign and set over to City
an easement and right to perform the above described work The Grantee

placed on the above described lot, under the right created by this
easement, at its own expense and at such time as the public convenience
may so require.
By acceptance hereof, Grantee agrees to indemnify Grantor
and Shell against all claims, liabilities and responsibilities of any
kind which may be imposed on Grantor and Shell or on the above-described

real property by reason of this Grant, or the construction, maintenance,
use or removal of any installation hereunder, or any act or omission
of Grantee or any public utility or any other party enfranchised by
Grantee, in connection therewith
This Easement herein granted shall continue in effect only
so long as the above-described property is used by Grantee for street
and road purposes
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, this Grant of Easement is executed
