HomeMy WebLinkAbout6600 RESOLUTION NO. 6600 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS REMOVING PROPERTY FROM THE CITY'S AGRICULTURAL PRESERVE AND AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 6557 AGRICULTURAL PRESERVE REMOVAL NO.107 WHEREAS, the City of Redlands has established certain agricultural preserves pursuant to the California Land Conservation Act of 1965; and WHEREAS, the City Council has established criteria for removal of lands from within the City's Agricultural Preserve; and WHEREAS, an application has been made to remove Assessor's Parcel Nos. 0168-121-06, 08, 10, 11, 13, 0168-161- 02, 03, 04 and 05 from agricultural preserve status; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands that: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby determines that the applicant and legal owner of the property designated as Assessor's Parcel Nos. 0168-121- 06, 08, 10, ll, 13, 0168-161- 02, 03, 04 and 05 has filed an application in conformity with the Redlands' General Plan; that the land requested to be removed form the preserve does not circumvent any contract entered into pursuant to the California Land conservation Act of 1965; and that the removal of the property will not adversely impact the City's goal of discouraging premature and unnecessary conversion of agricultural land to urban uses, and will not encourage discontinuous urban development patterns that unnecessarily increase the costs of community services to Redlands' citizens. Section 2. Assessor's Parcel Nos. 0168-121-06, 08, 10, 11, 13, 0168-161- 02, 03, 04 and 05 are hereby removed from the City's Agricultural Preserve and the City Clerk is hereby directed to amend the City's map accordingly, to show the revised boundaries of the City's agricultural preserve. Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect only after the effective date of City of Redlands Ordinance No. 2659, and after the recordation of a Certificate of Cancellation for City of Redlands' "Williamson Act Contract Removals Nos. 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12." Teresa With respect to Street Vacation No. 141 - this cannot record until General Growth has purchased the Napa Auto Parts property and the building to the north. They are working with, the Redevelopment Agency so this may possibly end in eminent domain. I will monitor and let you know as soon as they purchase these two properties. With respect to Street Vacation No. 140 — this project is in the County and is going through LAFCO to be annexed into the City. This may take awhile. I will monitor. Any questions just let me know. Prepare letter (see below or boilerplate under "Coi-i-espoiideiiee--Recorder/A�l,. Pre. Rern." that C, w'11 go to County Recorder to accompany Agricultural Preserve Boundary Map. Send map, AND letter to County Recorder. The other map goes in envelope for filing with "Agricultural Preserve Removals." In approximately two weeks, begin checking on County Recorder's web site about Miscellaneous Maps recorded in that time frame. That will give you the recording information. Print page (Control/P) and keep a copy with the original Resolution, Agricultural Preserve Envelope, and one to Planner.
