A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
APPROVING A DELINQUENT ADMINISTRATIVE CITATION FINE REPORT AND
SUBMITTAL OF A NOTICE OF LIEN TO THE SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY AUDITOR-
CONTROLLER/TREASURER/TAX COLLECTOR FOR PROCESSING
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands has issued administrative citations to the owners of
various properties located within the City, and
WHEREAS, the property owners who received the administiative citations, and are
identified in the City Manager's report, have failed to pay the delinquent fines for such citations,
and
WHEREAS, Section 1 22 140 of the Redlands Municipal Code provides that " fines
levied by administrative citation, or by administrative hearing older, constitute a special
assessment against each lot or parcel of laird upon whiten the violation existed, and as thus made
and confirmed shall also become the personal obligation of each lot or parcel of land," and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 122 140 of the Redlands Municipal Code, on July 18,
2017, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which the property owners were provided the
opportunity to object or protest the proposed adoption of this resolution, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands, having considered the City
Manager's report regarding delinquent administrative citations, together with any objections and
protests by the property owners of various locations, desires to declare the delinquent fines as
special assessments and cause such fuses to be recorded as a lien against the properties identified
n1 the report,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Redlands as
follows
Section 1 The City Council approves the delinquent administrative citation fines report
submitted by the City Manager and confirms such delinquent fines to be entered as special
assessments on the property tax roll against the properties identified in the report
Section 2 The City Clerk of the City of Redlands, and the City's Finance Director, are
hereby authorized and directed to send a certified copy of this resolution and a Notice of Lien for
the delinquent fines (as special assessments), and all other appropriate documentation to place
the fines in the tax roll to the San Bernardino County Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector
for the County of San Bernardino
