ROAD EASEMENT

3 For a valuable consideration, SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
4 EDISON COMPANY, a California corporation, hereinafter called
5 the "Grantor", hereby grants to the CITY OF REDLANDS, herein-
6 after called "Grantee", an easement for public road and highway
7 purposes in, on, over and across that certain real property in
8 the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, SEaze of Calif-
9 ornia described as follows -
10 PARCEL 1.
11 That portion of the Northeast quarter of
Lot 22 of The Barton Ranch as per map recorded
12 in Book 6, page 19, of Maps, in the office of
the County Recorder of said County, which lies
C11, 13 within a strip of land, 10.50 feet wide, the
Northerly line of said strip of land being
14 coincident with the Southerly line of Citrus
Avenue as same is shown, 30 feet wide, on
15 said map of The Barton Ranch.

PARCEL 2.
17 That portion of said Northeast quarter of
cl- Lot 22, which lies within a strip of land, 4
18 feet wide, the Easterly line of said strip of
land being described as follows .
Beginning at the intersection of the
20 Southerly line of Citrus Avenue, as same is
shown,
30 feet wide, on said map of The Barton
21 'Ranch with the Westerly line of Tennessee Street
as same is shown, 30 feet wide, on said map,
22 thence Southerly, along said Westerly line of
Tennessee Street 295. 28 feet to the common
23 boundary line described and designated as
"Agreement Line", in that certain Agreement by
24 and between Edison Securities Company and Cora
fAl Bell Kinder, dated August 11, 1959 , and
25 recorded in Book 4917, page 150, of official
Records, in the office of the County Recorder

27 EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion thereof

Carl M. Rundberg to Southern California Edison
31 Company, dated October 1, 1956, and recorded

3 A right of way for the laying, construction
a-Lid maintenance of all pipes , d-itches and
4 conduits Lhat way be reasonably necessary for
the distribution and delivery of water, as
5 reserved in the deed from Barton Land and
Water Company to Ben Barton, dal-ed February 3,
6 1890, and recorded in Book 111, page 104, of
Deeds , in the office of the County Recorder
7 of said County
8 An agreement for maintenance of pipe lines
by and between Carl M. Rundberg and George T.
9 Musson, dated July 31, 1948, and recorded in
Book 2353, page 394, of Official Records , in
10 the office of the County Recorder of said County.
11 Conditions , restrictions , reservations ,
exceptions , encumbrances, rights , easements
12 and licenses affecting the above described
property, whether of record or not, including-
13 but not limited to those herein referred to.
14 The aforesaid easement is gxanted subject to the right--
15 of said Grantor, its successors and assigns , to construct,
16 maintain,, use , operate, alter, add to, repair, replace,
17 reconstruct and/oiemove in, on, over, under., through, along
18 and across the above described real property, electric trans-
19 mission and distribution lines and telephone lines , together
20 with supporting structures, and appurtenances , for conveying
21 electric energy for light, heat, power and telephone purposes,
22 and pipe lines and appurtenances, for the transportation or oil,
23 petroleum, gas , water or other substances., and said easement
24 for public road and highway purposes shall be so eyercised as
25 not to interfere with the construction, maintenance., use
26 operation, presence, repair, replacement, relocation, reconstructi)n
27 or removal of such electric trans-mission, distribution or tele_
28 phone lines oi.' pipd IiAbs.
29 Said Grantor reserves for jtselF, its successors and
30 assigns , the right to trim any tree or trees which may grow in
31 said public road or highway, and which in the opinion of said
32 Grantor, its successors or assigns , endanger or interfere with

I the proper operation or maintenance of said electric transmission,
2 distribution and telephone lines, to the e:tent necessary to
3 prevent any such interference or danger.

4 The above described property is to be used for public
5 road and highway purposes only, and in Che event said land is 0
6 not used for public road and highway purposes, or if the project
7 for the construction of said public road or highway is abandoned,
8 or in the event said land shall hereafter be vacated as a public
9 road or highway, it shall thereupon, ipso facto, revert to said
10 Grantor, its successors or assigns.
11 This easement is given pursuant to the authority of,
12 and upon and subject to, the conditions prescribed by General
13 Order No. 69 of the Public Utilities Couuuission of the State of
14 California,, dated and effective November 1. 1923 , which said
15 General Order No 69 by this reference is hereby incorporated in
16 and made a part hereof,

18 corporate name and seal to be affixed hereto and this instrument
19 to be executed by its Vice President and Assistant Secretary,

CERTIFICATE OF ACCEPTANCE
This is to certify that the interest in real property conveyed by Grant of
Easement dated May 20, 1960 from Southern. California Edison Company, a
California Corporation, to the City of Redlands, is hereby accepted by order `
of the City Council on June 21, 1960 and. the Grantor consents to recordation
thereof by its duly authorized officer.
