THE GRANTOR, CITY OF RMLA=, a municipal corporation of the State of California
hereby grants to SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY LTD., a corporation, its suc-
cessors and assigns, the right to construct, use, maintain, alter, add to, repair
replace, inspect and/or remove, in, on and over the real property hereinafter de-
scribed, situated in the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State of
California, an electric line, consisting of poles, towers, necessary guys and
anchors, cross-arms, wires and otfter fixtures and appliances, for conveying electric
energy to be used for light, heat, power, telephone and/or other purposes.
Said real property is described as follows.
That portion of Blocs 40, as sho-im on Map No. 8 of a portion
of Redlands Heights, recorded 2.n Book 9, page 5, of Maps, records of
said County of San Bernardino., which lies North of the State Highway
(Roosevelt Road) , as now established along the South side of said
Block 40.
All of said poles and towers shall be located and maintained within 2 feet of
that portion of the following described line within the above described land of the
Grant_or-
Beginning at a point in the bouncLary line of Lhe California State
Highway Right of day (Roosevelt Road) , said point being North 390 191
191, East., 90.93 feet, measured along a radial line, from Engineer's Sta-
tion No. 523 plus 20.00 in that certain curve in the center line of
said Right of �iay wnich is shown as having a radius, of 1000 feet and a
length of 657.65 feet on a map ae:.ignated 46 "Division VIII, Route 26,
Sheet 4", of file in the office of the California St-ate highsay Depart-
ment in the City of San Bernardino, State of California, said point of
beginning being in that portion of the Northerly boundary line of said
Right of Way which lies along the radial line referred to above; thence
from said point of beginning South 540 471 2011 East, 256.12 feet to a
k point hereinafter referred to as Point "A", thence South 690 08t 16"
East, 189.88 feet, more or less, to an existing pole, =xbered 270396E,

West, approximately 22 Teet to a point in the Northerly boundary line
of said California State Highway Right of 'Ray.
The Grantee, its successors and assigns, and its and their agents and employees.,
shall have free access to said electric line and every ')art thereof, at all tfme's ror
the purpose of exercising the rights herein granted, and shall have the right to keep
free from brush,, or any accumulation of inflammable material, all of the land within
25 feet of the above deacriDed line, And the Grantor covenants for itself and assigns,
that it or they will not erect, place or maintain, or permit to be erected, placed or
maintainedY within a distance of 25 feet from the above described line) any building
or other structure ffithout first securing the written permission of the Grantee thereto,
and that it will not plant or maintain, or permit to be planted or maintained, any
tree or trees., or shrubs, so that they, or any of the, will interfere with or endanger
the wires, structures or appurtenances of the Grantee, its successors or asaigns, and
agrees that if any tree or shrub shall grow or be so near to any of said wires,

structures or appurtenances as to endanger the same or interfere with the proper
operation or care thereof, the said Grantee, its successors and assigns, and its
and their agents and employees, may trim or remove such tree or shrub so as to
prevent such interference or danger.
IN VUTNESS MiEP-WF, said City of Redlands .has cauced. this instrument to te
