A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ADOPTING
CHAPTERS 1 THROUGH 5, CHAPTER 9, AND APPENDICES OF THE 2015 SAN
BERNARDINO VALLEY REGIONAL URBAN WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN AND
RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO 7645
WHEREAS, Section 10620 of the California Water Code require urban water suppliers to
prepare and file with the California Department of Watei Resources (DWR) an Uiban Watei
Management Plan, and
WHEREAS, the City recognizes the water supply of the Redlands represents a limited
renewable resource subject to increasing demands, that conservation and efficient use of urban
water supplies are of statewide concern, and that planning for water use and conservation and the
nnplementation of such plans is best accomplished at the local level, and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the Redlands' citizens to ensure that the highest
quality of water is reasonably available to them for domestic use, and
WHEREAS, the City has developed its Urban Water Management Plan (Plan) to achieve
water conservation, efficient use of water and sustainable lifestyle consistent with Redlands'
unique heritage and conununity goals, and
WHEREAS, after the City approved and submitted the original Plan to DWR in 2016,
modifications have been made, and
WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing has been held on the amended Plan pursuant to
Section 6066 of the California Govermrient Code,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REDLANDS as follows
Section I Resolution No 7645 is hereby rescinded,
Section 2 That the document entitled "2015 San Bernardino Valley Regional Urban
Water Management Plan" attached hereto as Exhibit"A"is hereby adopted and City staff is hereby
directed to submit the document to DWR
Section 3 That the City of Redlands will unplement the 2015 San Bernardino Valley
Regional Urban Water Management Plan in accordance with the schedule set forth in the plan
Section 4 This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption on Septembei
