2 I ode, the undersigned, a majority of the Governing Board
3 of Redlands Joint Union High School District of San Bernardino and
4 Riverside Counties, California, pursuant to resolution duly autho-
5 razing the same , adopted 3n accordance with the teras of sections
6 1$671 to 18675 of the Education Code of the State of California, do
7 by these presents hereby dedicate to the CITY OF REDLANDS, a muni-
8 cipal corporation, and a political subdivision of the State of
9 California, all the right , title and interest of said school distri2t
10 in and to the hereinafter described real property, for public alley
11 purposes, described as follows:
12 BEGINNING at the Southeasterly corner of Lot 5 , Block 32
of the 2nd Preliminary i�ap of Redlands as recorded in Book
13 5 of Maps at Page 2, records of San Bernardino County; thence
Southwesterly along the Southeasterly line of said Lot 5 a
14 distance of 109.71 feet to the true point of beginning, thence
continuing Southwesterly along the said Southeasterly line of
15 said Lot 5, a distance of 270 feet , thence Northwesterly
along a line perpendicular to the said Southeasterly line of
16 I said Lot 5 , a distance of three (3 ) feet ; thence Northeasterly
along a line parallel to the said Southeasterly line of said
17 Lot 5, a distance of 270 feet; thence :southeasterly along a
line perpendicular to the said Southeasterly line of said Lot
18 5 , a distance of three (3 ) feet to the true point of begin-
ning. Being a rectangular area three (3 ) feet by two hundred
19 'I seventy ( 270) feet .
20 TO HAVE AND TO HOLD said above described premises unto
said grantee, its successors or assigns, as long as used for said
21 public alley purposes.

that they executed the same as members of such Governing Board of
10 said School District, for and on behalf of said Board and for and
on behalf of said School District.

4 The Board met an regular session on the 26th day of !larch
5 11953 , at the usual mee�ing place thereof. The President called the
6 ii-iieetin& to order at 2:00 o' clock P.Ii. On roll call the following

7 members were present, namely Members Beeler, Sedam, S3,1verwood
8 Hale and Beattie
9 and absent

11 The adoption of the following resolution and order was
12 moved by 1,;.Lember Beattie and seconded by Member
13 Sedam and a vote being taken, the said resolutioxt

REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY Or, REDLANDS FOR PUB-
20 LIC ALLEY PURPOSES .
21 dHEREAS) on the 12th day of FOnary 1953 , this
22 Governing Board determined by resolution duly and regularly adopted
23 to dedicate to the City of Redlands, d municipal corporation and a
24 political subdivision of the State of California, for public alley
25 purposes certain real property, hereinafter described, belonging
26 to the Redlands Joint Union High School District of San E3ernardlno
27 ' and Riverside Counties, California, upon consideration that said

29 the cost of the necessary legal publication of said resolution ; and
30 74HEHEAS, by said Resolution of Intention to Dedicate Real
31 Property, adopted as aforesaid, at vies provided that not less than
32 ten ( 10) days subsequent to the adoption thereof, to-wit : on the
I 26th day of march, 1953 , a public meeting of 7,he Governing Board of
2 said School District would be held at its regular place of meeting
3 at the Board Room of Fred H. Clock auditorium, Redlands, California,

4 at which meetnng a public hearing would be had upon the question of
5 making the dedication and at which meeting objections and protests
6 thereto, if any, would be received and considered, and,
7 gl 4MER;AS, at the regular public meeting of said Governing
8 Board of said School District held at the time and place heretofore
9 determined and fixed by sa-Ld Resolution of Intention to Dedicate
10 Real Property, as aforesaid, not less than ten (10) days intervened
11 between the date of adoption of such Resolution of .Intention to
12 Dedicate Real Property and the date therein set for the meeting and
13 public hearing upon the question of making the dedication and for
14 the receipt and consideration of objections and protest thereto,
15 if any; and,
16 4HEREAS, notice of the adoption of said Resolution of
17 Intention .to Dedicate.. Real Property, as afor esa�d, . and.; of the time
18 and place of holding the meetinE and public hearing upon the ques-
19 tion of making the dedication and for the receipt and consideration:
20 of objections and protests , if any, has been given by posting copies
21 of said ,,resolution signed by the Governinp, Board of said School
22 District, or by a majority tnereof, in three public places in the
23 district , not less than ten (10) days before the date therein set
24 for such meeting and public hearing, as will appear rgore fully from
25 the affidavit of posting attached hereto, marked "Exhibit V1 , and
26 rude a part hereof by reference as if fully herein set forth, and,
27 MIEREaS, notice of the adoption of said Resolution of
28 Intention to Dedicate Real Property, as aforesaid, and of the time
29 and place of holding the meeting and public hearing upon the ques-
30 tion of riakint, the dedication and for the receipt and consideration
31 of objections and protests , if any, has been given by publishing
32 such resolution and notice once, not less than five ( 5) days before

1 the date of said public Lneeting in a newspaper of general circula-
2 tion published in said ,'chool District as will appear more fully
3 from the affidavit of publication attached hereto, marked "Exhibit
4 JB" and made a ,dart hereof by reference as if fully herein set forth;
5 and,

7 have been made or filed with said Governing Board of said School
8 District; and,
g ' HEREAS, no petition protesting against the proposed

10 dedication signed by at least ten (10) percent of the qualified
11 electors of said School District, as shoaan by the affidavit of one
12 of the petitioners has been filed with said Governing Board at the
13 ipublic meeting held at the time and place heretofore fixed in said.
14 1 jesolution of Intention to Dedicate Heal '.Property, as aforesaid,
15 i1G, , H r�!. Os+v, IT lS HEREBY RL"3O1;VZD, that the herean-
16 after described real property belonging to said `school District
17 be, and zz, is hereby dedicated to the City of Redlands , a municipal
18 - corporation, and a political subdivision of the State of CInlifornia,
19 for public alley purposes, upon consideration that said City shall
20 pay all costs incidental to such dedication, including the cost of
21 the necessary legal publication of the resolution of intention Lo
22 dedicate said real property, and the president of the Governing
23 :' Board of said School Distract, or other presiding officer or the
24 members thereof, are hereby authorized and directed to execute a
25 ; deed of dedication of the hereinafter described real property to the
26 City of Redlands, a municipal corporation and a political subdivi-
27 cion of the State of California, and to deliver said deed to the
28 City Council of the City of Redlands, California for acceptance by
29 said City forthwith upon the payment of the considerations as afore--
30 said by said City to said School District .
31 The real property so dedicated pursuant to this resolutaor
32 and order 3s described as all that certain real property situated

1 in the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, .State of Cali-
2 forma, more particularly described as follows, to-- 'Tit.
3 BEGINNING at the Southeasterly corner of Lot 5, Block 32
