Dear Sirs:
In connection with the abandonment of the old section of
Mcllhennl<y Road from Sixth Avenue to Marian Avenue , the Pioneer
Title Company has presented a problem Their title search
indicates a confusion and uncertainty in the public records as
to whether the City of Redlands has an interest or title in the
small triangular parcel at the present intersection of Sixth
Avenue and Mcllhenny Road
In order to clear the title to this parcel of land, which has
been considered a part of the Mascart grove, we request
the City of Redlands to sign a quit claim deed on this land

DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTY TO BE QUIT-CLAIM
DEEDED BY CITY OF REDLANDS TO TM RUBY MASCART ESTATE
All that portion of Lot XX, Crafts Map of Redlands Heights, in the City
of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State of California, as per plat
recorded in Book 11 of Maps, page 16, records of said County, which lies
Westerly of the following described line:
BEGINNING at the angle made by the Southwest and Northwest boundary lines
of said Lot XX, on the Easterly line of said Marian Avenue; thence running
in a Northeasterly direction to a point on the North line of said lot
exactly South of a point 25 feet due East from the Southeast corner of
Lot XXIX of said Crafts Map of Redlands Heights
EXCEPTING the following: (as deeded by E. C. and C. S. Sterling to the
City of Redlands) beginning at a point on the Ely side of Marion Street
at a point 183 feet SEly from corner bound at the NW corner of said
Sterling land at the junction of Marion Street and Sixth Avenue., thence
running Northerly on a curve to the right with a radius of 276 feet to the
Southerly side of Sixth Avenue at a point 62 feet Easterly from corner
bound above referred to; thence from said Easterly line Westerly along
southerly side of Sixth Avenue 62 feet to corner bound at Sixth Avenue
and Marion Street; thence Southerly in a straight line 183 feet along
Easterly side of Marion Street to point of beginning.
