Dear Mr. Colley:
This is in reference to your letter of May b, 1959 regarding
our request to secure an easement from the City of Redlands within
Section 8, Township 1 South, Mange 3 'vrest, S.D.E.& 1A.
In accordance with your proposal vie have revised our easement
and decreased the width of our right of way to ten feet
If this meets with your approval vie should appreciate your
having this Grant of Easement executed in behalf of the City, and one
fully executed copy returned to us.
Your prompt attention given this matter has been appreciated.

foes hereby grant to IE PACIFIC TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH COMPANY, a corporation, its successors and assigns, an ease-
nent to construct, place, operate, inspect, maintain, repair, replace and remove such underground telephone, tele-
;raph and communication structures as Grantee may from time to time require, consisting of cables, conduits, man-
loles, markers, and necessary fixtures and appurtenances, under, and upon that certain real property in
unincorporated territory _ _ County of San Bernardino
State of California described as-

of the southeast 1/4 S.B.B.& M., conveyed to the United States of

The above-described easement shall, be located over the westerly ten (10) feet of the
above-described property.
Grantor covenants for himself his successors and assigns not to place or maintain any building or structure on

Grantor also grants to Grantee the right to cut such roots on said property as may be necessary for the protec-
ion of said structures, and to enter upon said property at all times for the purpose of exercising the rights hereby
ranted Grantee shall be liable to Grantor for any damage which may occur to the above-described property by reason
f negligence on the part of Grantee in the exercise of the easements granted
