RESOLUTION NO. 2124
A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE WORK CLOSING A PORTION OF TENNESSEE STREET IN THE
CITY OF REDLANDS AS SAID STREET IS NO LONGER REQUIRED FOR STREET PURPOSES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS-
SECTION ONE- The City Council of the City of Redlands having elected to
proceed under the provisions of Division ,, Part 12 Chapter 2 of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California, and having held a public hearing
as provided therein, hereby finds from all evidence submitted that the street
described in this resolution is unnecessary- for present or prospective street
purposes and that the public interest and convenience requires the vacation of
said street.
SECTION TWO: The City Council hereby orders the vacation of that portion
of a certain street in the City of Redlands., County of San Bernardino, State of
California., described as follows:
A 36 foot wide strip of land an the City of Redlands, County of
San Bernardino, State of California lying east of a lane 44 feet
from and parallel with the centerline of Tennessee Street as said
centerline as shown on, a Map of Barton Ranch as recorded in Book 6
of Maps, page 19 thereof., records of said County. Said strip is
bounded on the north by a line 44 feet south of and parallel z-rith
the centerline of Colton Avenue and on the south by a line 309037
feet south of and parallel with said centerline of Colton Avenue.
SECTION THREE. The City Council hereby determines that the vacation of
the street described herein as required by public interest., convenience,
safety and welfare.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this day of June,, 1961.
