1 THIS AGREEHENT , wade and entered into this tat day of
2 July, 190, by and between the COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO, a body
3 corporate and politic of the State of California, hereinafter re-
4 'erred to as COUNTY, and the CITY OF REDLANDS, a municipal corpor-
5 ation, hereinafter referred to as CITY,
6 WITNESSETH:
7 RECITALS
8 1.
9 It Is mutually understood and agreed that botn parties
10 are desirous of securing uniform enforcement of all laws and ordi-
1i nances Dertaining to the public healtn and sanitation within the
12 incorporated area of the City of Remands and the unincorporated
13 area immediately adjacent thereto and that the Health Department
14 of the County of San Dernardino is equipped to render such service.
15 AGREEKENTS
16 Pursuant to the foregoing recitals it is hereby mutually
17 agreed:

19 That pursuant to the provisions of Division 1, Part 2,
20 1 Chapter 1, Article ZA of the Health and Safety Code of the State
21 of California, County agrees to perform by and through the County
22 Health Officer and other employees of We County, all functions
23 relating to the enforcement in the City of Redlands of all ordi-
24 nances thereof relating to public health and sanitation, except
25 ordinances pertaining to the control of rabies, and the mahing of
26 all inswections and the performance of all functions in connection
27 therewith, and City agrees to accept such services and to pay for
ga W same as hereinafter provided.

30 That the services provided for herein shall begin on We
31 I Mrst day Of July, 1948 , and terminate on We 30th day of June,
1949.

1 That during the time this contract shall remain in
2 effect the County Health officer and his deputies shall exercise
15 the same powers and duties in the City of Redlands as are conferred
At upon health officers thereof by law.

That while engagedAn the-performanc*- Of- tneir� auties
77 and functions pursuant to this agreement, the County Health OKI-
8 eer , his deputies and employees shall be deemed to be County offi-
9 cers and employees and not city officers and employees of the City
10 of Redlands.

12 That for the performance of the services and functions
16 jjc;rejn provided for City agrees to pay to County the total sum of
14 $2,500-00, payable $1,250-00 on December 15th, 1948 , 6hd 11,250 00
15 on June lst , 1948, and that said compOnsation is deemed tQbVsuf-
16 ficient in amount to repay the County for the entire cost to it Of

18 ment of ordlnancOs Of the City of Redlands under the terms hereof.
