2 THIS AGRE UN'T, made and entered into this 1st day of
3 Tuly, 1949, by and between the COUTI'i7 OI` SA'N' BM'NARDINO, a body
4 corporate and politic of the State of California, hereinafter re-
5 ferred to as COUNTY, and the CITY OF REDLANDS, a municipal corpor-
6 a.tion, hereinafter referred to as CITE',

8 RECITALS

1.
10 It is mutually understood and agreed that both parties
11 are desirous of securing uniform enforcement of all latus and ordi-
12
nances pertaining to the public health and sanitation within the
13
incorporated area of the City of Redlands end the unincorporated
14 area immediately adjacent thereto and that the Health Department
15
of the County of San Bernardino is equipped to render such service.

18Pursuant to the foregoing recitals it is hereby mutually
agreed:

21 That pursuant to the provisions of Division 1, Part 2,
22 Chapter 1, Article 2A of the Health and Safety Code of the State
23 of California, County agrees to perform by and through the County
24 Health Officer and other employees of the County, all functions
25
relating to the enforcem.en.t in the City of Redlands of all ordi -
26 n.ances -hereof rela15ing to public health and sanitation, except
27 ordinances pertsining to the control of rabies, and the making of
28 all inspections and the performance of all functionE. In connection

30 the same as hereinafter provided.

32 That the services provided for herein shall begin on the
first day of JuIY : 1919, and terainate on bhe 30th day of June,

2 That during the time this contract shall remain in
3 effect the County Health Officer and his deputies shall exercise
4 the sane pavers and duties in the City of Redlands as are conferrer':
5 upon health officers thereof by lieu.

7 That while engaged in the performance of their duties
8 and functions pursuanz to this agreement, the County Health Offi-
9 cer, his deputies and employees shall be deemed to be County offi-
10 cers and employees and not city officers and employees of the City
11 of Redlands.
12 5.
13 That for the performance of the services and functions
14 herein provided for City agrees to pay to County the total sum of
15 �,
.;*2, 500.00, payable 81, 250-00 on Decub er 15th, 1949, and $1, 250-00
16 on June lst, 1.950, and that said compensation is deemed to be suf-
17 fici ent in amount to repay the County for the entire cost to it of
18
the services to be performed for. City and required in the enforce-
19
ment of ordinances of the City- of Redlands under the terms hereof.

the City and the County for continuation of Health and

By the terms of this agreement , the

ly.
