Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Redlands held in the Council Chambers, Civic Center, 35 Cajon
Street, on January 10, 2018 at 5:00 P.M.

Mayor Foster called the meeting to order and offered those present the opportunity to provide public
comment on any item on the agenda for the closed session.

RECONVENE CITY COUNCIL MEETING
The Mayor reconvened the meeting at 5:11 P.M.

NEW BUSINESS
Memorandum of Understanding - RPOA
On motion of Council Member Jon Harrison, seconded by Council Member Eddie Tejeda, the City Council
approved the tentative agreement reached by City staff and approved the Memorandum of Understanding
between the City of Redlands and the Redlands Police Officer Association (RPOA). Mayor Foster thanked
everyone involved in the negotiation process and added this action will benefit the community and the
employees. It brings five years of labor stability to the City, while providing raises and meeting increased
pension obligations without asking for new resources from the public.
