REDLANDS AND MCC PIPELINE INC FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
THE HIGHLINE AND CRAFTON AVENUE WATER PIPELINE
REPLACEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT No 71283
This first amendment ("First Amendment") to the contract for the construction of the
Highlme and Crafton Avenue Water Pipeline Replacement Project, Project No 71283, dated July
18, 2017 (the "Contract") by and between the City of Redlands, a municipal corporation ("City"),
and MCC Pipeline, Inc ("Contractor"), is made and entered into this 15th day of May, 2018
RECITALS
WHEREAS, it is the desire of City and Contractor to amend the "The Contract Sum" of
the Contract to compensate Contractor for material cost increases incurred by Contractor in
connection with City's delay of construction of the project,
NOW, THEREFORE, City and Contractor hereby agree as follows
AGREEMENT
Section 1 "THE CONTRACT SUM" paragraph of the Contract is hereby amended to read
as follows
"THE CONTRACT SUM City shall pay Contractor the sum of $1,492,147 05 as consideration
for its performance of the Work in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the
Contract Documents Pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 22300, Contractor has the option
to deposit securities with an escrow agent as a substitute for retention of earnings requirement to
be withheld by City pursuant to an escrow agreement as set forth in the Public Contract Code
Section 22300 "
All other provisions of the Contract shall remain in full force and effect
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this First Amendment, to be effective
as of May 15, 2018
