REDLANDS AND WEKA INC FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
THE 2017 CIP WATER PIPELINE REPLACEMENT PROJECT
PROJECT No 71280
This first amendment ("First Amendment") to the contract for the construction of the 2017
CIP Water Pipeline Replacement Project, Project No 71280, dated March 20, 2018 (the
"Contract") by and between the City of Redlands, a municipal corporation ("City"), and Weka,
Inc. ("Contractor"), is made and entered into this 5' day of June, 2018

WHEREAS, City staff has identified a need to replace additional 630 lineal feet of aged
steel water line on Center Street as shown on Exhibit "A".
WHEREAS, the contract amendment is essential to replace the aged steel water line prior
to resurfacing of Center Street as part of PARIS program
WHEREAS, the Contractor is willing to perform additional work under the same terms
and conditions of the original contract.
WHEREAS, it is the desire of City and Contractor to amend the "The Contract Sum" of
the Contract to compensate Contractor for additional scope to the project
NOW, THEREFORE, City and Contractor hereby agree as follows.
AGREEMENT
Section 1 "THE CONTRACT SUM" to the Contract is hereby amended to read as follows
"THE CONTRACT SUM. City shall pay Contractor an additional sum of $97,847 00 bringing the
total contract amount to $3,876,633 00 as consideration for the additional work in accordance with
the terms and conditions set forth in the Contract Documents.
All other provisions of the Contract shall remain in full force and effect
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this First Amendment, to be effective
as of June 5, 2018
