HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdiances_2872ORDINANCE NO. 2572 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING TITLE 18 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADOPTING A REVISED LAND USE ZONING MAP TO AMEND THE ZONING DESIGNATION FOR FOURTEEN PARCELS LOCATED AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF BROOKSIDE AVENUE AND NORTH EUREKA STREET FROM ADMINISTRATIVE PROFESSIONAL (A -P) TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL (C-3), (APNS 0171-211-14-0000 THROUGH 0171-211-21-0000, 0171-211-25-0000, AND 0171-101-01- 0000 THROUGH 0171-101-05-0000) WHEREAS, in accordance with Government Code section 65855, the Planning Commission of the City of Redlands has reviewed proposed Zone Change No 457 to change the City's land use zoning map for fourteen parcels, totaling approximately 2 65 acres, to General Commercial (C-3) located at the north west corner of Brookside Avenue and North Eureka Street (Assessor's Parcel Nos 0171-211-14-0000 through 0171-211- 21-0000, 0171-211--25-0000, and 0171-101-01-0000 through 0171-101-05-0000) (the "Zone Change"), and WHEREAS, on May 8, 2018, the Planning Commission held a noticed public hearing on the Zone Change and related project entitlements, and considered verbal and written testimony of City staff, the applicant, and testimony from members of the public, and WHEREAS, on May 8, 2018, the Planning Commission adopted Resolution No 1388 recommending approval of the Zone Change to the City Council, and WHEREAS on May 24, 2018, notice of this City Council's public hearing for the Zone Change was published in the Redlands Daily Facts by the City Clerk, and WHEREAS, on June 5, 2018, the City Council held a public hearing and considered the staff written and oral reports, the recommendation of the Planning Commission, the testimony and written evidence submitted by and on behalf of the applicant, and testimony by members of the public, and WHEREAS, following the public hearing on the Zone Change, at which this City Council provided opportunity for public testimony, the City Council determined that adoption of the Zone Change is in the best interests of the public health, safety and general welfare, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS Section 1 The zoning designation for fourteen parcels, totaling approximately 2 65 acres, is hereby changed from `Administrative Professional' (A -P) to `General 1 1 \OrdmanceslNos 2800-2899 in Word12872_Zone Change 457 doc Commercial (C-3)' located at the northwest corner of Brookside Avenue and North Eureka Street (Assessor's Parcel Nos 0171-211-14-0000 through 0171-211-21-0000, 0171-211-25-0000, and 0171-101-01-0000 through 0171-101-05-0000), as more particularly shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit "A " Section 2 The Mayor shall sign this ordinance and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and shall cause it, or a summary of it, to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation within the City, and thereafter, this ordinance shall take effect in accordance with law Paul W Foster,ay ATTEST `4hne Donaidson,Clerk 2 I 10rdinances\Nos 2800-2899 in Word12872 Zone Change 457 doc 1, Jeanne Donaldson, City Clerk of the City of Redlands, hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance was duly adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 19U' day of June, 2018 AYES Councilmembers Barich, Tejeda, Momberger, James, Mayor Foster NOES None ABSENT None ABSTAINED None nne Donaldson, City Clerk 3 I IOrdinanceslNos 2800-2899 in Word12872 Zone Change 457 doe EXHIBIT A - ZONE CHANGE NO 457 I 1ca\Ord12872_Zone Change 457 doc I 1ca\Ord12872 Zone Change 457 doe
