HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_2873ORDINANCE NO 2873 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING TITLE 18 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADOPTING A REVISED LAND USE ZONING MAP (ZONE CHANGE NO 458) THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS WHEREAS, in accordance with Govermnent Code section 65855, the Planning Commission of the City of Redlands has reviewed proposed Zone Change No 458 (the "Zone Change") to change the City's land use zoning snap for 39 84 acres identified as Assessors Parcel Numbers 0168-161-04-0000, 0168-161-05-0000, 0168-161-06-0000, and 0618-161-07-0000 from Agricultural (A-1) District and Residential Estate (R -E) District to Planned Residential Development / Residential Estate (PRD/R-E) District, and WHEREAS, on May 22, 2018, the Planning Commission held a noticed public hearing on the Zone Change and considered verbal and written testimony of City staff, the applicant for the proposed Zone Change, and testimony from members of the public, and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended to the City Council that the Zone Change be approved, and WHEREAS on June 8, 2018, notice of this City Council's public hearing for the Zone Change was published in the Redlands Daily Facts by the City Clerk, and WHEREAS, on June 19, 2018, the City Council held a public hearing and considered the staff written and oral reports, the recommendation of the Planning Commission, the testimony and written evidence submitted by and on behalf of the applicant, and testimony by members of the public, and WHEREAS, following the public hearing on the Zone Change, at which this City Council provided opportunity for public testimony, the City Council determined that adoption of the Zone Change is in the best interests of the public health, safety and general welfare, Section 1. The zoning designation for approximately 39 84 acres of property, generally located easterly of Judson Street and northerly of Lugonia Avenue, identified as Assessor's Parcel Numbers 0168-161-04-0000, 0168-161-05-0000, 0168-161-06-0000, and 0618-161-07-0000, is hereby changed from the A-1 (Agricultural) District and R -E (Residential Estate) District to the PRD/R-E (Planned Residential Development/Residential Estate) District on the City's Land Use Zoning Map as more particularly shown, on the map attached hereto as Exhibit "A " 1 1 \OrdinancesWos 2800 2899 in Word12873 Zone Change 458.doc Section 2 The Mayor shall sign flus ordinance and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and shall cause it, or a summary of it, to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation within the City, and thereafter, this ordinance shall take effect in accordance with law.
