BOX 3005 I Milli 111111 111111 Taxes .00 CA S .00 ZilFCODETEA Redlands, CA 92373 Others Fee .00 Paid .00 FEES NOT REQUIRED PER SPACE ABOVE FOR RECORDER'S USE ONLY GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 6103 Resolution 7902 Historic Resource No 133 Title of Document "'%it s„ ,-s `t OD ° _ . if i.- ry.-7, -eo r - 4..'ka�,.— ; Fit ai` ',,-" '`' t re 't f THIS COVER SHEET ADDED TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE SPACE FOR RECORDING INFORMATION ($3.00 Additional Recording Fee Applies) RESOLUTION NO. 7902 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DESIGNATING 634 CHESTNUT AVENUE AS AN HISTORIC PROPERTY (HISTORIC AND SCENIC RESOURCE NO. 133) WHEREAS, Chapter 2.62 of the Redlands Municipal Code establishes rules and regulations governing the designation, preservation, and perpetuation of historic and scenic properties; and WHEREAS, the property owner has applied for and requested designation of 634 Chestnut Avenue as an historic property; and WHEREAS, the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission held a duly noticed public hearing on August 2, 2018, to consider the designation of 634 Chestnut Avenue (APN: 0173-211-12- 0000) as an historic property; and WHEREAS, on August 2, 2018, the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission nominated 634 Chestnut Avenue as an historic property in accordance with procedures established in Chapter 2.62 of the Redlands Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, on August 24, 2018, the City Clerk caused notice of a hearing on the question of this historic designation application to be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City; and WHEREAS, on September 4, 2018, the City Council of the City of Redlands held a duly noticed public hearing to consider the recommendation of the Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council hereby determines that the approval of this Resolution is exempt from review under the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") pursuant to section 15061(b)(3) of the State's CEQA Guidelines implementing CEQA because it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that designation of the above-referenced property as an historic resource may have a significant impact on the environment. Section 2. The property at 634 Chestnut Avenue owned by Bruce Serrao and Dolores Leiva, is hereby designated as an historic property in accordance with the provisions and criteria contained in Section 2.62.170 of the Redlands Municipal Code. The property contains a one-story single family dwelling that is approximately 883 square feet in size, which has significant character, interest, or value as part of the development, heritage or cultural characteristics of the City of Redlands and is a particularly good example of a period or style. Section 3. Neither the structure on the property nor the property shall be altered on the exterior, moved, demolished, subdivided, or otherwise permanently changed, unless a Certificate of Appropriateness or Certificate of Hardship has been first obtained from the City of Redlands. 1 1:1Resolutions\Res 7900-7999\7902 Historic Resource No. 133 RESO final.doc Section 4. The City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby directed to cause a certified copy of this Resolution to be recorded upon the 634 Chestnut Avenue property with the County Recorder, County of San Bernardino.
