AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DISESTABLISHING A
PARKING AND BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT AREA KNOWN AS
"REDLANDS PARKING AND BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT AREA B"
AND REPEALING CHAPTER 18 216 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL
CODE RELATING TO REDLANDS PARKING AND BUSINESS
IMPROVEMENT AREA B.
WHEREAS, Redlands Parking and Business Improvement Area B (the "PBIA")
was initially established by the City Council under the "Parking and Business
Improvement Area Law of 1965" by the City Council's adoption of Ordinance No 1570
in 1975, and presently exists pursuant to the authority of the "Parking and Business
Improvement Area Law of 1989", and
WHEREAS, on November 15, 2011, the City Council adopted a Resolution of
Intention to disestablish the PBIA pursuant to Streets and Highways Code Section 36550,
and
WHEREAS, City staff has complied with the noticing and publishing
requirements of Streets and Highways Code Section 36550 by publishing the Resolution
of Intention to disestablish the PBIA in the Redlands Daily Facts at least seven days prior
to the public hearing on this ordinance and mwhng a copy of the Resolution of Intention
to each business in the PBIA in accordance with law, and
WHEREAS, Redlands Municipal Code Chapter 18 216 relating to the PBIA will
no longer be effective after the PBIA is disestablished and should therefore be repealed,
and
WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held by the City Council on
December 6, 2011 regarding the disestablishment of the PBIA and protests for and
against the disestablishment of the PBIA were heard,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS
Section 1 The parking and business improvement area known as the"Redlands
Parking and Business Improvement Area B"is hereby disestablished
Section 2 Chapter 18.216 of the Redlands Municipal Code is hereby repealed

Section 3 The Mayor shall sign this ordinance and the City Clerk shall certify to
the adoption of this ordinance and shall cause it, or a summary of it, to be published once
in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation within the City, and
thereafter,this ordinance shall take effect as provided by law
