THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT is entered into effective
July It 1985, between the CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, a municipal
corporation, referred to as "City," and the CITY OF REDLANDS, a
8 municipal corporation, referred to as "Contracting Agency."
9 City and Contracting Agency agree as follows:

(a) City and Contracting Agency entered into an agreement
11
12 on July 1, 1984, hereinafter referred to as "Agreement," relating
to the joint use of City's animal shelter.
13
(b) The parties now desire to amend the agreement to
14
provide for a one year extension of said Agreement, and to
15
provide for an increase in the fee for impounding, caring for andl
16 1
disposing of animals , from $16.50 for any canine (dog or pup) to
17
$17.50, and from $9.00 for any feline (cat or kitten) to $10.00.

2- P-ayment. Paragraph 4 of the Agreement is amended
19
effective July 1 , 1985, to read as follows:

4. PAyment. Contracting Agency shall pay to City during
21
the period of July 1 , 1985 through June 30, 1986, for services
22
provided for in this agreement $17 .50 for any canine (dog or
23
pup) , and $10.00 for any feline (cat or kitten) delivered to City

24
by Contracting Agency. Additionally, Contracting Agency shall
25
pay to City for livestock animals delivered to the City under the ;
26
terms of this agreement the following fees:

City shall present a bill before the tenth day of each month for

111 the amount due. Said bill shall be paid by Contracting Agency
not later than the last day of the month in which billed."

3 . . Paragraph 8 of the Agreement is amended effective
13
July 1, 1985, to read as follows:

15 *8. Telm. This agreement shall be for a term of one year
I commencing July 1 , 1985."

4. All other terms , conditions and
17
covenants of the Agreement, as amended, shall remain the same and
18
be in full force and effect.

2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENTS WITH THE CITIES OF
3 RIALTO, COLTON, LOMA LINDA, AND REDLANDS , AND COUNTY OF SAN
BERNARDINO RELATING TO A ONE YEAR EXTENSION OF THE TERM OF THE
4 AGREEMENTS AND AN INCREASE IN THE FEE FOR IMPOUNDING CANINES AND
FELINES FOR FISCAL YEAR 1985-1986.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CATTY
6 OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS :
7 SECTION 1 . The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is
8 hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of said City
9 First AmendTij nt to Agreements 1th he C-,ILt:ies of Rialto, Colton ,
10 Loma Linda, and Redlands , and the County of San Bernardino
11 relating to a one year extension of the term of the agreements
a12 and an increase in the fee for impounding canines and felines for
13 fiscal year 1985-1986 , copies of which are attached hereto,
14 marked Exhibit "A" through Exhibit "E" , respectively, and
15 incorporated herein by reference as fully as though set forth at
16 length.
17 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
18 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San
