HomeMy WebLinkAboutContracts & Agreements_31-1986_CCv0001.pdf SECOND AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT 2 (Joint Pound Use) 3 4 THIS SECOND AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT is entered into effective 5 July 1, 1986, between the CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, a municipal 6 corporation, referred to as "City," and the CITY OF RED S, a 7, municipal corporation, referred to as "Contracting Agency." 8 City and Contracting Agency agree as follows: 9 1. 10 (a) City and Contracting Agency entered into an agreement 11 on July 1, 1984, and a first amendment to said agreement on July 12 1, 1985, hereinafter collectively referred to as "Agreement ," 13 relating to the joint use of City's animal shelter . 14 (b) The parties now desire to further amend the Agreement 15 to provide for a five-year extension of the term, and to provide 16 for increases in the fee for impounding, caring for and disposing 17 of animals. 18 2. kaym&n-t. Paragraph 4 of the Agreement is amended 19 effective July 1, 1986, to read as follows: 20 *4. 1AA_ymg11t. Contracting Agency shall pay to City during 21 the period of July 1, 1986 through June 30, 1987, for services 22 provided for in this agreement $17.50 for any canine (dog or 23 puppy) , and $10.00 for any feline (cat or kitten) delivered to 24 City by Contracting Agency. During the period of July 1, 1987 25 through June 30, 1989, fees will increase to $19.00 for any 26 canine (dog or puppy) , and $11.00 for any feline (cat or kitten) . 27 During the period of July 1. 1989 through June 30, 1991, fees 28 will increase to $21.00 for any canine (dog or puppy) , and $12.00 1 for any feline (cat or kitten) . Additionally, Contracting Agency 2 shall pay to City for the period of July 8, 1986 through June 30, 3 1991, for livestock animals delivered to the City under the terms 4 of this agreement the following fees: 5 DAILY BOARD AND CARE 6 LARGE LIVESTOCK $12.50 7 Over 500 lbs. (e.g. ,, Horses, Mules 8 Donkeys , Cattle) 9 MEDIUM LIVESTOCK $10.00 25 to 500 lbs. 10 {e.g. , Goats , Sheep, Pigs) 11 SMALL LIVESTOCK $5.00 Less than 25 lbs. 12 (e.g. , Rodents, Rabbits, Chickens, Geese) 13 City shall present a bill before the tenth day of each month for 14 the amount due. Said bill shall be paid by Contracting Agency 15 not later than the last day of the month in which billed." 16 3. Term. Paragraph 8 of the Agreement is amended effective 17 July 1, 1986, to read as follows: 18 This agreement shall be for a term of five years 19 commencing July 1, 1986." 20 4. hovions. The original agreement was entered into in May 1984. This second amendment is for a 5-year term beginning July 11 1986 and terminating June 30, 1991 . Dog and cat impound fees remain unchanged this fiscal year. Effective July 1, 1987 through June 30, 1989 (two years) fees will increase to $19 .00 per dog and $11 .00 per cat. During the period July 1 , 1989 through June 30, 1991 (two years) fees will increase to $21 .00 per dog and $12.00 per cat. Livestock board fees were increased effective July 7, 1986 to $12.50 per day for large livestock, $10.00 per day for medium sued livestock and $5.00 per day for small livestock and these fees will remain unchanged throughout the term of this amendment.
