HomeMy WebLinkAbout7907 RESOLUTION NO. 7907 A RES�LUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY O� REDL�NDS ESTABLISHIIVG DEVELOPMENT INIPACT FEES FOR ACCESSORY DWELLING U1�lITS WITH RESPECT TO SEWER, WATER, SOLID WASTE, ACQUISJT�ON OF WATER STOCK AND WATER RIGHTS, OPEN SPACE AND P�1RKS, TRANSl'ORTATION, ANP PUBLIC FACTLITIES, RESTATING SUCH DEVELOPMENT IIvFPACT FEES �'OR ALL OTHER DEVELOPMENT, AND RESCINDING RESOLUTIQN NO. 7701 WHEREAS, Chapters 3.32, 3.44, 3.48, 3.54, 3.56, 3.60, 3.70 and 13.40 af the Redlands Municipal Code establish, respectively, Open Space and Parks, Sewer Capital Ymprovement, Water Capital Improvement, Transportation I�nprovements, Storm Drain Facilities, Pc�blic Facilities Fees, Solid Waste Impro�ement, and the Acquzsztion of Water Stock And Water Rights to iznplement the City's General Plan to ensure that public facilities improvements which meet City standards are a�vailable concurrent with the need caused for such facilities by n.ew de�elopment in the City; and " WHEREAS, pursuant to a study entitl�d, "City of Rediands Development Impact Fee Justifica�ion Study," dated January 9,2017, the City Council of the City of Redlands (this "City Council") establisl�ed fees for Open Space and Parks, Transportation Imprnvements, Storz�. Drain Facilities and Public Facilities Fees in Claapters 3.32, 3.54, 3.56 and 3.b0 of the Redlands Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, it is now the desire of this City Council to establish developz�ent impact fees for Accessory Dwelling Units; and WHEREAS, on August 31, 2�I8, DTA, formally icnown as David Taussig and Associates, prepared a study far the City reca�nmending tlae axnounts ot' development z�npact fees wluch may be imposed for Accessory Dwelliaig Units; a�ad WHEREAS, �he provisions of the Redlands Municipal Code provide that the specific amounts of develop�nent impact fees shall be�stablished by resolution of this City Council; and WHEREAS, it is further�he desire of tl�zs City Council to establish th� devElopment iznpact fees for Accessory Dwellzng Units and restate the d�velopment i:mpact fees for aII other ca�egories of develapment wit�un this one resol�tion; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RE50LVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows: Section 1.
