RESOLUTION CONCERNING GRIT T OF REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF REDL&NDS FROms
Arthur B. Drake and Ruth Smiley Drake, husband and wife.
RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redlands, California has
received from Arthur B* Drake and Ruth. Smiley Drake, husband and wife, the
grant of real property by Grant Deed in the City of Redlands, County of
Sara Bernardino, State of California, as described in the deed dated May 4,
1959 and attached hereto, said property including:
Lots I to 42 inclusive, Block "E", according to :-.AP OF BALCOLI'S
ADDS. in the City of Redlands, County of San. Bernardino, as per
plat recorded in Book 13 of ;.aps, page 44 records of said.
County.
SAVING AND EXCEPTING therefrom the East 34 feet of said Laic 4.
ALSO SAVING AND EXCEPTING therefrom that portion conveyed to the
Salvation Army by Deed recorded in Book 411 of Deeds, page 301,
described as follows
BEGINNING at the intersection of the North line of East Central
Avenue, with the east line of Fifth Streets, thence North 50 feet;
thence East parallel with the East Central Avenue, along the
South line of a private alley, 100 feet; thence South 50 feet;
thence West 100 feet to the beginning.
RESOLVED that a certified copy of Resolution No. 1 of the Board of
Parking Plaoe Commissioners, adopted on the with day of May
has been filed and that this City Council is Proceeding to acquire the property
described herein pursuant to said Resolution No. I and the Vehicle Parking
District Law of 1943.
BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY ACCEPTED, AND
BE IT .FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the Mayor or the City Manager of the
City of Redlands is hereby a:athorizedg empowered and directed to accept said
grant on behalf of the said City of Redlands.
