RE30LUTION, NOS RhPk?
WHETUAS, the City of Redlands has received a copy of the letter
dated July 25, 1960 from the City of Ontario to the Board of Su,-iervisors
of the Counter of San Bernardino concerning gasoline tax sharing;
R-ITE IZ13, the City of Redlands supports the City of OntarioHs
position stated in said letter, a rapy of which is attached hereto as
UIIIEI T A;
BE IT MREFf RESSOLVED
I., That the City Council of the City of Refflands
petitions the County of San Bernardino for a more
equitable distribution of gasoline tax funds in
accordance with the request set forth in said letter
marked Exhibit A,
2. That the residents of the City of Redlands and other
cities within the County pay approximately half of
the gasoline taxes collected in the County and are
entitled to a fair allocation;
3. That the amount of ; 50,000.00 is less than two per cent
of the total allocation of : 2,900,000.00 in { asoline
taxes received by the County during the year 1.959=-1960
