RESOLUTION FINDING PORTIONS OF SOUTH AVENUE, FMNKLIN AVENUE, HILTON AVENUE AND SUNSET
DRIVE t1AHE UNNECESSAla FOR PRESENT Olt PROSPECTIVE PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING
THE VACATION OF SAID PORTIONS OF ST'iZLLTS,
The City Council of the City of Redlands ordains and resolves as follows:
SECTION ONE: The City Council of tine City of Redlands having elected to
proceed under provisions of Division 5, Past 1, Chapter 2 of the Streets and Highiraya
Code of the State of California, and leaving Held a public hear:.ng as provided therein,
hereby finds from all the evidence submitted that the portions of the streets described
in this resolution are unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes
and that the public interest and convenience requires the closing of said streets( �
SECTION TWO: This City Council hereby orders the vacation of portions of Qc
South Avenue, Franklin Avenue, Hilton Avenue and Sunset Drive, described as follows.-
1. A portion of South Avenue, described as follows:
All that portion of South Avenue lying North of a line tdiich
is parallel with and JO feet North of the centerline of said
South Avenue, said portion of South Avnnuo lies adjacent to and
South of Block 1 of Hap No. 1 of a Portion of Redlands Heights,
in the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State of
California, as per plat recorded in Book 5 of Ala.ps, page 74,
records of said County.,
2. A portion of Franklin Avenue, described as follows,
The East 3 feet of 70 foot wide Franklin Avenue, said 3 feet
lies adjacent to and West of Blocks 1 and 9. of Map No. 1
of a Portion of Redlands Heights, in the City of Redlands,
County of San Bernardino, State of California, as per plat
recorded in Book 5 of Maps, page 74, records of said Countyp
3. A portion of Hilton Avenue, described as follows:
The South 3 feet of 70 foot wive Hilton Avenue, said 3 feet lies
adjacent to and North of Block 9, of Map No. 1 of a Portion of
Redlands heights, in the City of Redlands, County of San Bernar—
dino, State of California, as per plat recorded in Boole 5 of Maps,
page 74, records of said County.
4. A portion of Sunset Drive, described as Follows-
All that portion of 50 foot wide Sunset Drive lying my the
Southwest Quarter of the Southwest (quarter of Section 36,
Township 1 South, Range 3 t'uest, San Bernardino Base and
Meridian, in the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino,
State of California, described as follows:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the centerline of said
Sunset Drive and the test line of said Southwest Quarter of
Section. 36; thence South 00 03, 081, East 25.50 feet to a point
on the Southerly line of said Sunset Driven thence along said
line South 780 419 East IM14 feet; thence South 450 361 East
275.01 feet; thence North fib° 231 East 101.95 feet; thence,
leaving said Southerly lane North 190 209 30" East 4.51 feet;
thence North 700 309 30" West 61.84 feet; thence North 560 560
West 7.28 feet to ab point on the Northerly line of said Sunset
Drive; thence along said line South 680 231 West 21.,64 feet;
thence North 450 3611 West 257.39 feet; thence North 7810 411
West 143.06 feet; thence South 00 030 08" East 25.50 feet to
the point of beginning.
