HomeMy WebLinkAbout2156 BOOK5555 PAGE405 4 RESOLUTION NO. 21 6 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FINDING THAT PORTIONS OF FIRST STREET, CITRUS AVENUE, AND SECOND STREET ARE UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE VACATION OF PORTIONS OF SAID STREETS. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby ordains and resolves as follows e SECTION ONE: The City Council, of the City of Redlands having elected to proceed under provisions of Division 5, Para 1, Chapter 29 Streets and Highways Code of the State of California,, and having held a public hearing as provided therein., hereby Finds from all the evidence submitted that the streets described in this resolution are unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes and that the public interest and convenience requires the closing of portions of said streets. SECTION TWO; The City Council hereby orders the vacation of portions of First Street9 Citrus Avenue and Second Street described as follows Those portions of First Street.9 Citrus Avenue, and Second Street in the City of Redlands., County- cf San Bernardino, State of California as shown on. Town Plat of Redlands, recorded in Book 5 of Maps, Page 10; Stonevs Subdivision recorded in Book 5 of Maps, Page 379 Brookside Avenue Subdivision as shown in Book 17 of Maps., Page l; bounded and contained by the following described line Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot l,, Block 1, Town Plat of Redlands, thence westerly along the south line of Lots 1, 22 3, 4 of said Block 1 and northwesterly along the southwesterly line of that certain unnumbered lot Block 1 to the west line of said Block 1, said line being also the east line of First Street; thence south- westerly across First Street from said aforementioned point to the most northerly corner of triangular shaped Lot 7 of Stone9s Sub- division; thence along the northeasterly Line of Lot 7 and Lot 6 of Stonets Subdivision to the most easterly corner of Lot 6; thence southwesterly along the southeasterly line of Lot 6 to a point., said point being the intersection of the northwesterly prolongation of the northeasterly line of Lot 1 Brookside Avenue Subdivision said point being also a perpendicular distance of 10 feet frora said north- easterly line of said Lot 6 Stonens Subdivision; thence southeasterly a e r- — r 805 PAGE406 along the northeasterly line prolonged and said northeasterly line of Lot 1 Brookside Avenue Subdivision to the most easterly corner thereof, said corner being also on the north line of Brookside Avenue, a street of 100-foot right-of-way as shown on said map; thence northeasterly along the prolongation of the northerly line of Brook- side Avenue 69,78 feet to a point which is 52,32 feet measured ; southwesterly along said north lane of Brookside Avenue from its intersection 'with the centerline extended of Eureka Street, a street of 50-foot right-of-way as said Eureka Street is shown on map of Orange Grove Addition as per plat recorded in Book 4, Page 38 thereof., records of said County; thence along a tangent curve of 12 foot radius., concave to the west, through an included angle of 89° 531 30" 18,83 feet; thence along a tangent north 31 33 e 3011 west 26,60 feet; thence along a tangent curve of 220 foot radius concave to the northeast through an included angle of 12" 401 1211 a distance of 48.27 feet to the east line of said Lot 1 Block 1, Town Plat of Redlands; thence south along the east line of Lot 1 to the point of beginning, SECTION THREE: In the proceeding herein adopted by this City Council for the vacation of the streets described in Section 2, the City of Redlands reserves and excepts from the vacation the permanent easement and right at any time, or from time to time, to construct., maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures in., upon, over and across any street or part thereof proposed to be vacated and pursuant to any existing fran- chises or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct, maintain, operate., replace, remove, renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wires poles, and other convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone lines, railroad lanes, and for the distribution or transportation of electric energy., petroleums and its products# ammonia, water, and incidental purposes,, including access and right to keep property free from inflammable materials, and wood growth, and to otherwise protect the same from all hazards in, upon, and over the street proposed to be vacated, SECTION FOUR: The City Council hereby determines that the vacation of the portions of streets described herein is required by public interest, convenience, safety and welfare, ti PUB 5555 PAA07 ADOPTED, STONED AND APPROVED this day of , 1961. - ARN01A �� , I DA— Mayor o t e ity of Redlands ATTEST: City er{ j APPROVED FOR FORM.
