RESOLUTION NO. 2126
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FINDING THAT A PORTION OF CAJON STREET IS
UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING VACATION
OF PORTION OF SAID STREET.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ordains and resolves as follows.-
SECTION ONE.- The City Council, of the City of Redlands having elected to
proceed under provisions of Division 5, Part 1, Chapter 2 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, and having held a public hearing as
provided therein, hereby finds from all the evidence submitted that the street �+
described in this resolution is unnecessary for present or prospective street +•
purposes and that the public interest and convenience requires the closing of
portion of said street.
SECTION TWO-. The City Council hereby orders the vacation of that portion of
Ca on Street described as f ollowss
That portion of 70®foot wide Cajon Street in the City of Redlands,
County of San Bernardino., State of California as shown on a map of
Redlands Heights No, 1 as per plat recorded in Book 5 of Maps,, Page 74
records of said County described as follows.-
Commencing at the centerline intersection of Cajon Street,, a street
of 70-foot widths and Halton Avenue,, a street of 70-foot width as
shown on said map; thence along the centerline of said Hilton Avenue
north 896 550 3011 east 35-13 feet to a point which is also the inter-
section of the easterly line extended of said Cajon Street and the
centerline of said Hilton Avenue; thence along said easterly line
extended of said Cajon Street north 4' 59f 00" west 25,09 feet to
the true point of beginning which is also the intersection of the
easterly line of Cajon Street and the northerly line of Hilton Avenue
as it now exists., the northerly 10 feet having been vacated, thence
along the easterly line of Cajon Street north 4" S91 001t west 246.14
feet to an angle point; thence along the northeasterly line of Cajon
Street north 340 291 0011 west 414.80 feet to the beginning of a curve
having a 270mfoot radiusq concave to the east; thence southeasterly
along said curve., through an included angle of 11' 021 3713 a distance
of 52,04 feet; thence south 340 291 00 east 310oO2 feet to the beginning
of a tangent curve having a radius of 180 feet,, concave to the southwest;
thence southeasterly along said tangent curve through an included angle
of 290 300 00" a distance of 92,68 feet; thence south 40 591 00" east
197,00 feet; thence north 89° 559 30" east 5,02 feet to the true point
of beginning.
SECTION THREE-. The City Council hereby determines that the vacation of that
portion of street described herein is required by public interestq convenience,
safety and welfare,
