� RESOyuTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
?tiOVIDING FOR THE ASSESSMENT OF COSTS RESULTING FROM THE
DEMOLITION OF STRUCTURES FOUND TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE
P
TEE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
THAT.
WHEREAS ,, Section 203 (a) of the Uniform Building Code (1964
itio:) adopted by City of Redlands Ordinance No 1308 requires
seat a-! unsafe buildings be repaired or demolished. The Code
-arthew provides that if an owner shall fall to repair or demolish
a building determined to be a public nuisance that the City Council
ma2 order the demolition of said building with costs to be assessed
gsL-s! the property; and
WHEREAS , the Building and Safety Department of the City of
Anilands, the agency responsible for administration of the Uniform
build-nq Code, did advise the owners of the property and improve-
�ants on November 2, 1966, that the structures had been determined
Lo be a public nuisance and the removal_ or repair was necessary,
and
WHEREAS , the owners Forrest L and Raymond H Drake, 1521 No
Beverly Court., Ontario, California, would not take action to abate
zhe nuisance, and
WHEREAS , the City Council of uhe City of Redlands did on the
3rd of January, 1967, direct the abatement of the nuisance by
demolition with the cost thereof to be paid from available general
funds of the City with subsequent assessment against the property;
and
WHEREAS , the structures have now been demolished and total
costs of $562.78 have been incurred for the work,
NOW, THEREF0RE, BE IT RESOLVED_
Tnat the City Clerk will advise the Auditor, San Bernardino
0oanty, who will record the assessment and the Assessor, San
Bernardino County, who will enter the assessment on the tax roll
in an amount of $562 78 against the property as follows
