A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FINDING THAT A '�
PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET IS UNNECESSARY FOR PRES-
ENT OR PROSPECTIVE STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE
VACATION OF SAID STREET
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby ordains
and resolves as follows .
SECTION ONE. The City Council of the City of Redlands
having elected to proceed under the provisions of Division 9,
Part 3 , Chapter 1 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State
of California, and having held a public hearing as provided
therein, hereby finds from all the evidence submitted that the
street described in this resolution is unnecessary for present
or prospective purposes and that the public interest and conveni-
ence requires the closing of said street ,
SECTION TWO- The City Council hereby orders the vaca-
tion of a portion of a street described as follows -
That portion of Lots 10�and 11 , Woodlawn Tract , in
the City of Redlands , Yrecaraea in Boob f56Jof Maps,
Page 56 thereof, records of San Bernardino County,
State of California, lying within the right-of-way
of Sylvan Boulevard 44 feet easterly of centerline
of Churoh Street and westerly of Redlands Freeway
right-of--way, said Freeway also being known as State
Route 99 and Interstate Route 10, as the said right--
of-way is recorded in Book 5182 Official Records,
Page 136 thereof, Records of San Bernardino County,
State of California.
SECTION THREE. In the proceeding herein adopted by this
City Council for vacation of the street described in Section 2,
the City of Redlands reserves and excepts from the vacation the
permanent easement and right at any time, or from time to time,
to construct , maintain, operate , replace, remove and renew sani-
tary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures in, upon,
over and across any street or part thereof proposed to be va-
cated and pursuant to any existing franchises or renewals thereof
or otherwise, to construct , maintain, operate, replace, remove,
renew and enlarge lines of pipe , conduits, cables, wires, poles,
and other convenient structures , equipment and fixtures for the
operation of gas pipe lines , telegraphic and telephone lines ,
railroad lines , and for the distribution or transportation of
electric energy, petroleum, and its products, ammonia, water and
incidental purposes , including access and right to keep property
free from inflammable materials , and wood growth, and to other-
wise protect the same from all hazards in, upon, and over the
street proposed to be vacated.

SECTION FOUR. The City Council hereby determines that
the vacation of the street described herein is required by pub-
lic interest , convenience, safety and welfare .
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED the 1st day of February
1966.
