A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FINDING THAT A PORTION
OF A CERTAIN STREET IS UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE
STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE VACATION OF SAID STREET
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby ordains and re-
solves as follows ,
SECTION ONE- The City Council of the City of Redlands having
elected to proceed under the provisions of Division g, Part 3 Chapter
2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, and
having held a public hearing as provided therein, hereby finds from
all the evidence submitted that the street described in this resolu-
tion is unnecessary for present or prospective purposes and that the
public interest and convenience requires the closing of said street
SECTION TWO . The City Council hereby orders the vacation of a
portion of a street described as follows
Beginning at the most Westerly corner of Lot 37 , Tract No. 6o47 ,
Fern Grove , in the City of Redlands , County of San Bernardino,
State of California, as per plat recorded in Book 76 of Maps ,
page 70, records of said County, said corner lies on a lane which
is parallel with and 32 feet Southeasterly of the center line of
Fern Avenue , thence along the Southwesterly line of said Lot 37,
South 27019126 /, East 18.12 feet to a point on the Southeasterly
right of way line of 100 foot wide Fern Avenue , thence along
said line, South 56019 , West 435. 00 feet , thence North 33041t
West 18.00 feet ; thence along a line which is parallel with and
32 feet Southeasterly of said center line of Fern Avenue, North
56019 , East 437. 01 feet to the point of beginning,
SECTION THREE- In the proceeding herein adopted by this City
Council for vacation of the street described in Section 2, the City
of Redlands reserves and excepts from the vacation the permanent ease-
ment and right at any time , or from time to time, to construct, main-
tain, operate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers and storm
drains and appurtenant structures in, upon, over and across any street
or part thereof proposed to be vacated and pursuant to any existing
franchises or renewals thereof, or otherwise , to construct , maintain,
operate, replace , remove , renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits,
cables , wires, poles , and other convenient structures , equipment and
fixtures for the operation of gas pipe lines , telegraphic and tele-
phone lines , railroad lines , and for the distribution or transportation
of electric energy, petroleum, and its products, ammonia, water and
incidental purposes, including access and right to keep property free
from inflammable materials , and wood growth, and to otherwise protect
the same from all hazards in, upon, and over the street proposed to be
vacated.

SECTION FOUR. The City Council hereby determines that the vaca-
tion of the sTreet described herein is required by public interest ,
conveniences safety and welfare,
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED the nth day of May , 1964.
