RESOLUTION NO. 2350
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FINDING THAT A PORTION OF A
CERTAIN STREET IS UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE STREET
PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE VACATION OF SAID STREET
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby ordains and
resolves as follows ;
SECTION ONE. The City Council of the City of Redlands having
elected to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3 , Chapter
2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, and
having held a public hearing as provided therein, hereby finds from
all the evidence submitted that the street described in this resolution
is unnecessary for present or prospective purposes and that the public
interest and convenience requires the closing of said street.
SECTION TWO ; The City Council hereby orders the vacation of a
portion of a street described as follows -
The southerly 8.5 feet of fhe Terrace lying between Sixth
Street and the easterly right of way line of State Highway
26 on-ramp, in the City of Redlands , State of California,
more particularly described as follows .
Beginning at the intersection of the southerly Line of the
Terrace with the westerly line of Sixth Street as shown on
County Surveyor' s Map number 7623 , page 29, in the office of
the County Surveyor of San Bernardino County; thence north-
westerly along a curve, concave southwesterly and having a
radius of 13.00 feet , from an initial tangent bearing North

20 27 , 49" West , through a central. angle of 690
44 ' 52" , a dis-
tance of 15. 83 feet to a point in a line parallel with and
distant 8. 50 feet Northerly, measured at right angles , from
said southerly line of the Terrace ; thence South 89047119"
West, along said parallel lane, a distance of 318.31 feet to
said easterly right of way line of State Highway 26 ; thence
southeasterly along said easterly line and along a curve ,
concave southwesterly and having a radius of 154.00 feet,
from an initial tangent bearing South 27037 '37" East, through
a central angle of 3030 ' 3411 , a distance of 9.4a feet to said
southerly line of the Terrace ; thence North 89 47 ' 19" East ,
along said Southerly line, a distance of 326. 42 feet to the
Point of Beginning.
SECTION THREE- In the proceeding herein adopted by this City
Council for vacation of the street described in Section 2 , the City
of Redlands reserves and excepts from the vacation the permanent ease-
ment and right at any time, or from time to time, to construct , main-
tain, operate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers and storm
drains and appurtenant structures in, upon, over and across any street
or part thereof proposed to be vacated and pursuant to any existing
franchises or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct, maintain
operate, replace, remove, renew and enlarge lines of pipe , conduits ,
cables , wises , poles , and other convenient structures , equipment and
fixtures for the operation of gas pipe lines , telegraphic and tele-
phone lines , railroad lines , and for the distribution or transpor-
tation of electric energy, petroleum, and its products , ammonia,
water and incidental purposes , including access and right to keep ,
property free from inflammable materials, and wood growth, and to
otherwise protect the same from all hazards in, upon, and over the
street proposed to be vacated.
SECTION FOUR. The City Council hereby determines that the
vacation of the street described herein is required by public interest ,
convenience , safety and welfare.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this seventh day of January, 1964. C7:
