RESOLUTION NO. 2304
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FINDING THAT AN ALLEY BETWEEN TRIBUNE
STREET AND POST STREET IN UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE ALLEY
PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE VACATION OF SAID ALLEY,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OFzREDLANDS hereby ordains and resolves
as follows.
SECTION ONE- The City Council of the City of Redlands having elected to
proceed under the provisions of Division 99 Part 3, Chapter 2 of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California,, and hav-Ing head a public hearing
as provided therein, hereby finds from all the evidence submitted that the
al Ley described in this resolution is unnecessary for present or prospective Wzh
purposes and that the public interest and convenience requires the closing of
said alley.
SECTION TWO- The City Council, hereby oraers the vacation of an alley
between Tribune Street and Post Street described as follows.
All of that 10 foot wide alley lying northerly of Lots 22 and 23
of Casa Loma Addition as recorded in Book 155 Page 3., records of
San Bernardino County and extending from the easterly line of
57-58 foot wide Tribune Street to the westerly line of 25 foot
foot wide Post Street as shown on said map.
SECTION THREE- In the proceeding herein acxopted by this City Council for
vacation of the alley described in Section 2, the City of Redlands reserves and
excepts from the vacation the permanent easement and r-!gnt at any time, or from
time to time, to construct., maantaIn, operate., replace, remove and renew sanitary
sewers and storm drains and appurtenant ,strut Lures in., upon, over and across any
alley or part thereof proposed to be vacated and pursuant to any existing franchise;
or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct, m main,, operate, replace, remove,
renew and enlarge lines of pipe., conduits., cables; wires., poles., and other conveniez
structures,, equipment and fixtures for the operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic
and telephone Lines, rai2xoad lanes., and for the distribution or transportation of
electric energy., petroleum., and its products, ammonia., water., and incidental pur-
poses, including access and right to beep property free from inflammable materials,
and wood growth., and to otherwise protect the same from all hazards in., upon,, and
over the alley proposed to be vacated.
SECTION FOUR: The City Council hereby determines that the vacation of the
alley described herein is required by public interest, convenience., safety and.
welfare.
