HomeMy WebLinkAbout2292 soox 9?7 PAGE ' RESOLUTION NO. 2292 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FINDING THAT A PORON OF ESCOND RQgD...IS UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE STREET PURPUTES AND ORDERING THE VACATION OF PORTION OF SAID STREET. The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby ordains and resolves as follows SECTION ONE- The City Council of the City of Redlands having elected to proceed under provisions of Division 5, Part 1, Chapter 2, Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, and having held a public hearing as provided herein, hereby finds from all the evidence submitted that the street described in this resolution is unnecessary for present or prospec- tive street purposes and that the public interest and convenience requires the closing of portion of said street. SECTION TWO: The City Council hereby orders the vacation of a portion of a certain street described as follows: All that portion of Escondido Road, a street of 30 foot width, as shown on map of Portion of Country Club Park, Addition No. 4, and recorded in Map Book 32, Pages 40 - 41, records of San Bernardino County -- lying north of the northerly line of 30 Foot wide Sierra Vista Drive. SECTION THREE: In the proceeding herein adopted by this City Council for the vacation of the street described in Section 2, the City of Redlands reserves and excepts from the vacation the permanent easement and right at any time, or from time to time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures in, upon, over and across any street or part thereof proposed to be vacated and p-ursuant to any existang franchises or renewals thereof, or otherwise to construct, maintain., operate, replace, remove, renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wires, poles, and other convenient structures, equipment, and fixtures for the operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone lines, railroad lines, and for the distribution or transportation of electric energy, petroleum, and its products, ammonia, water, and inci- dental purposes, including accrss and right to keep property free from inflammable materials, and wood growth, and to otherwise protect the same from all hazards in, upon, and over the portion of street proposed to be vacated. SECTION FOUR. The City Council hereby determines that the vacation of the portion of street described herein is required by public interest, con- venience, safety and welfare.
