RESOLUTION OF THE CI`fY OF REDLkNDS FINDING THAT A PORTION OF ROOSEVELT ROAD
IS UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE STREET PURPOSES AIdD ORDERING
VACATION OF SAID STREET.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ordains and resolves as follows:
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands having to proceed
under provisions of Division 5, fart 1, Chapter 2, Streets and, Highways Code
of the State of California, and having held a public hearing as provided there- }
in, hereby finds from all the evidence submitted that the street described in 001
this resolution is unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes and C.1-1
that the public interest and convenience requires the dosing of said street.
SECTION TWO: The CiLy Council hereby orders the vacation of a portion of
Roosevelt Road described as follows:
All of that portion of Roosevelt Road in the City of
Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State of California,
lying southwesterly of the follo�,ring described lane,
C0I1IENCING at the centerline intersection of Highland
Avenue and Roosevelt Road, said point being at the most
easterly corner of Block i'D" of Second Prelim nary Map of
Redlands, as per plat recorded in Book 5 of Maps., Page 2,
records of said County, thence along the southeasterly
prolongation of said centerline of Roosevelt Road, South
330 37' 4511 East 50.00 feet, thence parallel with the
centerline of Highland Avenue, South 560 201 West 30.00
feet to the true point of beginning; thence from the true
point of
BEGINNING, parallel with said southeasterly prolongation
of Roosevelt Road, South 330 371 4511 East 299.82 feet to
its terminus at a point on the centerline of vacated Cres-
cent Avenue.
SECTION THREE. In the proceeding herein adopted by this City Council for
the vacation of the portion of street described in Section 21 the City of Red-
lands reser-t,•es and excepts from the vacation the permanent easement and right
at any time, or from time to time,, to construct, maintain, operate, replace,
remove and renew sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures in,
upon, over and across any street or part thereof proposed to be vacated and pur-
suant to any existing franchises or renewals thereof, or otherwise., to construct,
maintain, operate, replace, remove, renew and enlarge lames of pipe, conduits,
cables, wires, poles, and other convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for
the operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone lines, railroad lines,
and for the distribution or transportation of electric energy, petroleum, and its
products, ammonia, ,,rater and incidental purposes, including access and right to
keep the property free from inflammable materials, and wood growth, and to other-
wise protect the same from all hazards in,, upon and over the street proposed to
be vacated.
SECTION FOUR: The City Council hereby determines that the vacation of
the st.-raet described herein is required by public interest., convenience, safe-
ty and welfare.
