HomeMy WebLinkAbout2222 9• Y w b' RESOLUTION NO. 2222 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FINDING THAT A PORTION OF A STREET IS UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF SAID STREET. THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIE CITY OF REDLANDS Hereby ordains and resolves as follows: SECTION ONE: The City Counc-il of the City of Redlands having elected to proceed under the provisions of Division 9., Part 3. Chapter 2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, and having held a publ ir, hearing as provided therein hereby find from all the evidence submitted that that portion of street described in this resolution are unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes and that the public interest and convenience requires the closang of that ports.on of said street. SECTION TWO- This City Council does hereby order the vacation of a portion of Orange Avenue., described as .follows° Commencing at the intersection of the center line of Tennessee Ste, also known as San Mateo Street,, 80 feet wade,, and Orange Avenue, as said intersection is shown on Tract No. 5300 recorded an Book 63 of Maps., Pages 13 and 14 thereof in the office of the County Recorder of San Bernardino County; thence North 892 471 30" East 660.19 .feet; thence North 00 122 30« West 30.00 feet to the True Point of Beginning; thence South 890 47' 301? West 604.30 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve,, whose radius is 12.00 feet concave north easterly; said curve is also tangent at its northerly terminus with a line that is parallel with and 44.00 feet easterly,, measured at right angles,, .from said centerline of Tennessee Street; thence north westerly along said curve through an ancl,.uded angle of 800 241 1611 an are distance of 16.84 feet, to its intersection with the northerly line of Orange Street, thence North 890 471 30" East along said northerly line 616.13 feet; thence South 00 1.2Y 30" East 10.00 feet to the True Point of Beginning. SECTION THREE.- In the proceeding herein adopted by this City Council for the vacation of the street described in Section. 2,, the City of Redlands reserves and excepts from the vacation the permanent easement and right at any tame, or from time to time., to construct, maintain, operate,, replace,, remove and renew sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures in,, upon,, over and across any street or part thereof proposed to be vacated and pursuant bo any existing franchises or renewals thereof., or otherwise., to construct., maintain, operate., replace, remove,, BOOK5737 w670 4. 4 renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits., cable,, wires, poles, and other convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of gas pipe lanes, telegraphic and telephone lines, railroad lines, and for the distribution or transportation of electric energy, petroleum, and its products, amonia., water., and incidental purposes., including access and right to keep property free from inflammable materials, and wood growth, and to otherwise protect the same from all hazards in., upon., and over the street proposed to be vacated, SECTION FOUR.- The Caty Council hereby determines that the vacation of that portion of street described herein is required by public interest, convenience, safety and welfare. ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 1,7 day of r e.•c. 1962.
