RESOLUTION NO. 3196 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS GRANTING A TWENTY-YEAR TIME EXTENSION, FROM SEPTEMBER 15, 1975 UNTIL SEPTEM- BER 15, 1995, FOR THE NONCONFORMING USE FNOWN AS GEARHART GROCERY LOCATED AT 1136 TEXAS STREET, REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA WHEREAS, said commercial use located within a residential dis- trict became non-conforming upon adoption of Zoning Ordinance No. 1000 on September 15, 1955 , and WHEREAS, the amortization period provided for in Section 46.10 (a) of said Ordinance No. 1000 .will expire on September 15, 1975; and WHEREAS, Section 46. 10 (b) of sa ;.d Ordinance No. 1000 provides that non-conforming uses may be extenc'ed beyond the stated amortiza- tion period provided that a petition as signed by residents within a 500-foot radius of said use, and the City Council after due hear- ing adopts a resolution granting an extension for a specific length of time, Frith such conditions to protect the residential areas ad3acent as shall be deemed proper and necessary, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS HERE- BY RESOLVES : -.. SECTION 1. That after receipt of a petition and holding of a hearing on August 5, 1975, this Council grants a time extension fcr said non-conforming use until September 15, 1995, which said exten- sion, shall not be transferable and assignable to any successor in interest of the present non-conforming user. SECTION 2 . That in addition to the conditions .listed under Section 46.10 (c) , (d) , (e) , (f) and (g) of Zoning Ordinance No. 1000, the following special conditions are attached to this exten- sion: a. Building to be repainted. b. Signs shall conform to C--1 regulations, SECTION 3 . That the City Clerk shall cause a copy of this resolution to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder, together with a map and legal description attached thereto entitled Exhibit "A" .
