HomeMy WebLinkAbout3194 _ Recording requested by CITY OF P DLANDS BOOK8727 P,1Q 476 RECORDED IN OFFICIAL RECORDS WHEN RECORDED MAIL TO JUL 24 1975 AT 9 AM CITY CLERK, CITY HALL E REDLANDS, CALIF 92373 V DENNIS WADDLE RESOLUTION NO. 3194 CLERK RECORDER SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, CALIF, P_ RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FINDING THAT A PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET IS UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE VACATION OF SAID PORTION THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby ordains and resolves as follows : SECTION ONE- The City Council of the City of Redlands, having elected to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part. 3, Chap- ter 2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, and having held a public hearing as provided therein, hereby finds from all evidence submitted that a portion of a certain street des- cribed in this resolution is unnecessary for present or prospective purposes and that the public interest and convenience require the closing of a said portion of said certain street. SECTION TWO: The City Council hereby orders the vacation of a portion of said street described as follows : That portion of an alley as shown on map of Wood Lawn Tract as recorded in Book 15 of Maps, Page 56, in the office of the County Recorder, County of San Bernardino, State of California, described as follows Beginning at the intersection of the South line of Lot 10 as shown on said Tract, with the West line of said alley; thence Northerly along said West line to its intersection with the Southwest line of Interstate Highway 10 (as it now exists) ; thence Southeasterly along said Southwest line to its intersection with the East line Cj of said alley; thence Southerly along said East line to its inter- Cj section with the South line of Lot 11, as shown on said Tract; thence Westerly along the westerly prolongation of said South line to the Point of Beginning. SECTION THREE- In the proceeding herein adopted by this City Council for the vacation of a portion of a street described in Section Two, the City of Redlands reserves and excepts from the vacation the permanent easement and right at any time, or from time to time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures, in, upon, over and across any street or part thereof proposed to be vacated and pursuant to any existing franchises or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove, renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wires, poles and other convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for the opera- tion of gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone lines, railroad f BooK8727 pw 4� lines, and for the distribution or transportation of electric energy, petroleum, and its products, ammonia, water and incidental purposes, including access and right to keep property free from inflammable materials, and wood growth, and to otherwise protect the same from all hazards in, upon, and over the portion of the street proposed to be vacated. SECTION FOUR: The City Council hereby determines that the vacation of a portion of the street described herein is required by public interest, convenience, safety and welfare.
