RESOLUTION NO. 3175
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FINDING THAT A PORTION OF A
CERTAIN STREET IS UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE STREET
PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE VACATION OF SAID PORTION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby ordains and
resolves as follows -
SECTION ONE The City Council of the City of Redlands , `haviug
elected to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3 , Cnapter
2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, and
having held a public hearing as provided therein, hereby finds from
all evidence submitted that a portion of a certain street described
in this resolution is unnecessary for present or prospective purposes
and that the public interest and convenience require the closing of a
said portion of said certain street
SECTION TWO The City Council hereby orders the vacation of a
portion of said street described as follows . C.11

That portion of Block 1 of Redlands Heights as recorded in Book 11 of
",,ps , Page 16 i-n the office of the County Reccrder, County of San
Bernardino , State of California, described as follows -
Beginning at the intersection of the South right-of-way line of Fifth
Avenue wit:n Li7s_�— East sight-^f-Ti,ay line of Farview Lane as shown or
Tract No 5688 recorded in Book 88 of Maps , Page 24 and 25 in said
office; County and State; thence South 0° 11' 44" West along last
said East right-of-way line 74 27 feet to the beginning of a tangent
curve concave Southwesterly and having a radius of 113 . 23 feet, last
said curve being tangent with said Last right-of-way line of Farview
Lane, thence Northwesterly along last said curve through a central
angle of 59' 57 ' 421', 118 50 feet to the intersection with the center-
line of Fifth Avenue, last said intersection having a radial which
bears South 30' 14 ' 02" West, last said intersection also being the
True Point of Beginning; thence North 89' 49 ' 52" East along said
centerline of Fifth Avenue 69. 27 feet; thence South 470 16 ' 12" West,
46 89 feet to the beginning of a non- tangent curve concave Southwest-
erly and having a radius of 113 . 23 fect, last said begizaning of curve
having a radial which bears South 54° 12 ' 22" West; thence North-
westerly along last said curve through a central angle of 23' 58 ' 20"
47. 37 feet to the True Point of Beginning.
SECTION THREE, In the proceeding herein adopted by this City
Council for the vacation of a portion of a street described in
Section Two , the City of Redlands reserves and excepts from the
vacation the permanent easement and right at any time, or from time
to time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, re-nove and renew
sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures , in,
upon, over and across any street or part thereof proposed to be
vacated and pursuant to any existing franchises or renewals thereof ,
or otherwise, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove,
renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits , cables , wires , poles and
other convenient structures , equipment and fixtures for the operation
of gas pipe lines , telegraphic and telephone lines , railroad lines ,
and for the distribution or transportation of electric energy,
petroleum, and its products , ammonia, water and incidental purposes ,
including access and right to keep property free from inflammable
materials , and wood growth, and to otherwise protect the same from
all hazards in, upon, and over the portion of the street proposed to
be vacated.
SECTION FOUR. The City Council hereby determines that the
vacation of a portion of the street described herein is required by
public interest, convenience, safety and welfare.
ADOPTED , SIGNED AND APPROVED this 15'th day of April, 1975 .
