' 'A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FINDING THAT PORTIONS OF
.A CERTAIN ALLEY ARE UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE
-" STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE VACATION OF SAID PORTIONS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby ordains and re-
solves as follows:
SECTION ONE- The City Council of the City of Redlands, having
elected to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter
2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, and
having held a public hearing as provided therein, hereby finds from all
evidence submitted that the portions of an alley described in this reso-
lution are unnecessary for present or prospective purposes and that the
public interest and convenience require the closing of said portions of
an alley.
SECTION T'VITO: The City Council hereby orders the vacation of por-
tions of an alley described as follows-
Legal Description for Vacation of a certain alley between Normandie
Court and Michigan Street
That portion of an alley as shown on Tract No. 2110, Normandie Court, as
recorded in Book 30 of Maps, Page 45, in the office of the County Recorder,
County of San Bernardino, State of California, described as follows :
Beginning at the intersection of the Northwesterly right-of-way line of
Lot 9 in said Tract with the Northeasterly right-of-way line of Normandie
Court, last said intersection being a point on a curve concave South-
westerly and having a radius of 25 feet; said point having a radial line
which bears South 56° 20 ' West; thence Northwesterly along said curve
through a central angle of 23' 34' 59", 10. 29 feet to the intersection
with the Southeasterly right-of-way line of Lot 10 in said Tract; thence
North 56' 20 ' East along last said right-of--way Line 50.59 feet to the
beginning of a curve concave to the West and having a radius of 5 .00 feet;
thence Northerly along last said curve through a central angle of 900 ,
7.85 feet to a point of tangency with the Northeasterly right-of-way line
of said Lot 10 ; thence Southeasterly along the Southeasterly prolongation
of said Northeasterly right-of-way line of Lot 10, 20 feet to the begin-
ning of a curve concave to the South and having a radius of 5.00 feet;
thence Westerly along said curve through a central angle of 900 , 7.85
feet to a point of tangency with said Northwesterly right--of-way line of
Lot 9; thence South 56' 20 ' West along last said right-of-way line 48.50
feet to the Point of Beginning.
SECTION THREE- In the proceeding herein adopted by this City Coun-
cil for the vacation of the alley described in Section Two, the City of
Redlands reserves and excepts from the vacation the permanent easement
and right at any time, or from time to time, to construct, maintain, op-
erate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers and storm drains and
appurtenant structures, in, upon, over and across any street or part
thereof proposed to be vacated and pursuant to any existing franchises

or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct, maintain, operate, re-
place, remove, renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wires,
poles and other convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for the
operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone lines, railroad
lines, and for the distribution or transportation of electric energy,
petroleum, and its products, ammonia, water and incidental purposes, in-
cluding access and right to keep property free from inflammable materials,
and wood growth, and to otherwise protect the same from all hazards in,
upon, and over the alley proposed to be vacated.
SECTION FOUR: The City Council hereby determines that the vaca-
tion of portions of the alley described herein is required by public
interest, convenience, safety and welfare.
