RESOLUTION NO. 3126
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FINDING THAT PORTIONS OF
A CERTAIN STREET ARE UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE
STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE VACATION OF SAID PORTIONS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby ordains and re-
solves as follows
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands, having
elected to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Pait 3, Chapter
2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, and
having held a public hearing as provided therein, hereby finds from all
evidence saramitted tat the portions of a street described in this
resolution are unnecessary for present or prospective purposes and that
the public interest and convenience require the closing of said portions
of a street.
SECTION TWO : The City Council hereby orders the vacation of por-
tions of a street described as follows:
Legal Description:
Those portions of Lots 8 and 9 of TRACT NO. 1935, COLLEGE PLACE, per Map
recorded in Book 28 of Maps, Page 5, in the office of the County Recorder
of said County, described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the Westerly line of said Lot 8, distant along
said Westerly line North 0° 09 ' 11'" West 6.05 feet from the Southwest-
erly corner of said Lot 8; thence (Course `-'A") Soat 71° 29 ' 58" East
7.27 feet; thence (Course ' B") South 68° 26 ' 47' East 85.75 feet; thence
(at right angles) North 21° 33 ' 131 East 20e00 feet, thence parallel with
said Course B", North 68° 26 ' 47" West 86.28 feet to a line parallel
with and distant 20„00 feet Northerly, measured at right angles, from
said Coarse 'A" ; thence along said parallel Lire, North 71' 29 ' 58" west
14.56 feet to said Westerly line of Lot 8; thence along said Westerly
line, South 0° 09 ' 1l East 21 .11 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNIN'G,
SECTION THREE: In the proceeding herein adopted by this City Coun-
cil for the vacation of the street described in Section 2, the City of
Redlands receives and excepts from the vacation the permanent easement
and right at any time, or from time to time, to construct, maintain, op-
erate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers and storm drains and
appurtenant structures, in, upon, over and across any street or part
thereof proposed to be vacated and pursuant to any existing franchises
or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to corstruct, maintain, operate, re-
place, remove, renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wires,
poles and other convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for the
operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telepnone lines, railroad

lines, and for the distribution or transportation of electric energy,
petroleum, and its products, ammonia, water and incidental purposes, in-
cluding access and right to keep property free from inflammable materials,
and wood growth, and to otherwise protect the same from all hazards in,
upon, and over the southerly 10 feet of the street proposed to be vacated.
SECTION FOUR- The City Council hereby determines that the vaca-
tion of portions of the street described herein is required by public
interest, convenience, safety and welfare.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 18th day of June, 1974.
