A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FINDING THAT A POR-
TION OF A STREET IS UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE
STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE VACATION OF SAID STREET
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby ordains and
resolves as follows: 6
SECTION ONE- The City Council of the City of Redlands, having
elected to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chap-
ter 2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California,
and having held a public hearing as provided therein, hereby finds
from all evidence submitted that the street described in this reso-
lution is unnecessary for present or prospective purposes and that
the public interest and convenience require the closing of said
street
SECTION TWO The City Council hereby orders the vacation of
a portion of a street described as follows :
Legal Description for Vacating a Portion of Fifth Avenue
That portion of Fifth Avenue of the Redlands Heights (Craft ' s
Map) as recorded in Book 11 of Maps, Page 16, records of San
Bernardino County, State of California, described as follows

Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 2, Tract No, 5688,
as recorded in Book 88 of Maps, Pages 24 and 25, said North-
east corner being 44 feet Southerly, measured at right angles
from the centerline of 88 foot wide Fifth Avenue; thence
Westerly along the North line of said Lot 2, 80.00 feet to
the Northwest corner of said Lot 2; thence North 0°19 ' 15"
West, 5 . 91 feet to a point on a curve concave Northerly having
a radius of 544. 00 feet; tangent to said curve at last said
point bears South 81°51 ' 59" East; thence Easterly along said
curve through a central angle of 8°27 ' 04", 80 , 24 feet to the
Point of Beginning.
SECTION THREE- In the proceeding herein adopted by this City
Council for the vacation of the street described in Section 2, the
City of Redlands reserves and excepts from the vacation the
permanent easement and right at any time, or from time to time, to
construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew sanitary
sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures, in, upon, over
and across any street or part thereof proposed to be vacated and
pursuant to any existing franchises or renewals thereof, or other-
wise, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove, renew and
enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wires, poles and other
convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of

gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone lines, railroad lines,
and for the distribution or transportation of electric energy,
petroleum, and its products, ammonia, water and incidental purposes,
including access and right to keep property free from inflammable
materials, and wood growth, and to otherwise protect the same from
all hazards in, upon, and over the street proposed to be vacated
SECTION FOUR- The City Council hereby determines that the
vacation of the street described herein is required by public in-
terest, convenience, safety and welfare,
