A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FINDING THAT
A PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET IS UNNECESSARY FOR
PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING
THE VACATION OF SAID STREET
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby ordains and
resolves as follows.
SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands, having
elected to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chap- G't
ter 2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, G�
and having held a public hearing as provided therein, hereby finds
from all evidence submitted that the street described in this reso-
lution is unnecessary for present or prospective purposes and that
the public interest and convenience requires the closing of said
street .
SECTION TWO: The City Council hereby orders the vacation of a
portion of a street described as follows:
Legal Description for Vacating a Portion of Cypress Avenue
All that portion of Lot 5, Plat of Part of Section 4, Town-
ship 2 South, Range 3 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian,
in the City of Redlands, as recorded in Book 9 of Maps, Page
27 thereof, records of San Bernardino County, State of
California, and described as follows-
COMMENCING at the centerline intersection of Cypress Avenue
and the North line of Section 4; thence South 56° 19 ' West
11 69 feet to the beginning of a curve concave Northerly
having a radius of 250 feet; thence Westerly along the curve,
through a central angle of 35° 05 ' 20" , an arc distance of
153 10 feet; thence South 10 24 ' 20" West on a radial line
to said curve, 43. 00 feet to the True Point of Beginning,
said point of beginning being North 8° 29 ' 30" West 66 58
feet from the most Northerly corner of that certain parcel
of land conveyed to Edward P. Barrows and Irene M Barrows,
husband and wife by deed recorded July 25, 1967 as Instru-
ment 265 in Book 6861, page 362 , Official Records of said
County; thence from said point of beginning, curving to the
right from an initial tangent that bears North 88° 35 ' 40"
West with a radius of 293 00 feet through a central angle of
3° 49 ' 20" , an arc distance of 19. 55 feet; thence North 84°
46 ' 20" West 13.68 feet to a tangent curve; thence curving
to the left with a radius of 18. 00 feet through a central
angle of 90° 00 ' 00" , an arc distance of 28. 27 feet; thence

South 50 13 ' 40" West 20 32 feet to a tangent curve thence
curving to the right with a radius of 129.00 feet through a
central angle of 420 08 ' 11" , an arc distance of 94. 87 feet
to an intersection with the Northwesterly line of the afore-
said parcel conveyed to Edward P . Barrows and Irene M Barrows;
thence North 64° 00 ' 00" East along said Northwesterly line,
117 34 feet to the most Northerly corner therein, thence
North 8° 29 ' 30" West 66. 58 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION THREE. In the proceeding herein adopted by this City
Council for vacation of the street described in Section 2, the City
of Redlands reserves and excepts from the vacation the permanent
easement and right at any time, or from time to time, to construct,
maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers and
storm drains and appurtenant structures in, upon, over and across
any street or part thereof proposed to be vacated and pursuant to
any existing franchises or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to
construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove, renew and enlarge Cat
lines of pipe, conduits , cables , wires, poles and other convenient GI
structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of gas pipe
lines, telegraphic and telephone lines, railroad lines, and for the
distribution or transportation of electric energy, petroleum, and
its products , ammonia, water and incidental purposes, including
access and right to keep property free from inflammable materials ,
and wood growth, and to otherwise protect the same from all hazards
in, upon, and over the street proposed to be vacated.
SECTION FOUR• The City Council hereby determines that the
vacation of the street described herein is required by public in-
terest, convenience, safety and welfare.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED the 1st day of April, 1969.
