HomeMy WebLinkAbout2739 C:/ ?if d/a,) �s; BOOK (2M O PAGE 347 RECORDED MAIL TO CLERK, CITY HALL N 1AX D P ®LANDS, CALIF 92373 arc, r- 2 RESOLUTION NO 2739 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FINDING THAT A PORTION OF A CERTAIN STREET IS UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE VACATION OF SAID STREET cr THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby ordains and resolves as follows SECTION ONE- The City Council of the City of Redlands , having elected to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chap- ter 2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, and having held a public hearing as provided therein, hereby finds from all evidence submitted that the street described in this reso- lution is unnecessary for present or prospective purposes and that the public interest and convenience requires the closing of said street SECTION TWO. The City Council hereby orders the vacation of a portion of a street described as follows: Legal Description for Vacating a Portion of Stanford Street That portion of 66 foot wide Stanford Street in the City of Redlands as shown on the map of University Tract, as the said map is recorded in Book 17 of Maps , Page 36 thereof, records of San Bernardino County, State of California, and more particularly described as follows . That portion of said Stanford Street northerly of the nor- therly right-of-way line of 66 foot wide Brockton Avenue and southerly of the north line of Lot 37 of said Tract extended westerly across the said 66 foot right-of-way of Stanford Street SECTION THREE- In the proceeding herein adopted by this City Council for vacation of the street described in Section 2, the City of Redlands reserves and excepts from the vacation the permanent easement and right at any -time, or from time to time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant structures in, upon, over and across any street or part thereof proposed to be vacated and pursuant to any existing franchises or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove, renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits , cables , wires , poles and other convenient structures , equipment and fixtures for the operation of gas pipe lines , telegraphic and telephone lines , railroad lines , and for the distribution or transportation of electric energy, petroleum, and its products, ammonia, water and incidental purposes, including C I BOOK 72130 PAGE 34 S access and right to keep property free from inflammable materials , and wood growth, and to otherwise protect the same from all hazards in, upon, and over the street proposed to be vacated SECTION FOUR The City Council hereby determines that the vaca- tion of the street described herein is required by public interest, convenience, safety and welfare.
